I understand farming animals for food and other resources, but it can be done humanely! These subhumans know they are being unnecessarily cruel for nothing other than their greed. Some deers just naturally shed their antlers (and a little bit of blood is natural and not painful), it’s almost like how you have to sheer a sheep. Also the velvet that comes from their antlers naturally sheds too! But I will admit, the tiny cage that the herd was kept in was not ideal in the slightest and it’s understandable that the animal escaped. But I just got to the scene of them cutting off the antlers and that is horrible and wrong to do. They need to fall off naturally, but some horrible people just can’t wait I guess.

Antlers. Deer have antlers which fall off every year after mating season. Horns are permanent.

People are so disgusting. So you decide to have these deer and keep them locked up in tiny cages, until their antlers are bought, then they become worthless, so you no longer give a hoot about them. He probably didn't run away, you probably let him go, since now he is just costing you money..... Greatest gift you ever gave him, now he's living in a place where he has water, food, space and compainship.

It's maddening, bears in cages 1 on top of another, for decades with a surgical tubes put in their gallbladders to milk the bile out to sell to humans that believe it enhances their sexual drive. Dogs hung by hooks in their mouths alive to slaughter and consume. Because a human wanted a pet, but wasn't responsible enough to have them spayed or neutered, their pet did what comes natural and bred, now they have unwanted babies that some "subhuman" (love that description) put them in plastic bags ALIVE,tie it up and throw them in the trash, or tie them up in a place no one should find them without food, water or shelter, where too many die alone, starved and scared and helpless, just let them go in the middle of no where to fend for themselves or think beating and leaving them, thinking they are dead, which is bad enough, but some don't die and are left paralyzed, or with broken bodies or terrible cuts that expose bone, throw acid on them, skin them alive, hit them in their heads and leave them with broken face, unfortunately I could go on and on, point being, the animals are being abused almost to death and leaving them.Chimps, cats, dogs, rats, rabbits, etc stuck in tiny cages to study them for "science". NEVER knowing compassion, fresh air, love or FREEDOM. Humans expect empathy, respect and understanding from each other but way too many that want that, don't have it for Animals. Too many people AREN'T AWARE OF WHAT HAPPENS around the world. We live in our bubbles and if it we don't see it, it doesn't exist.

If you think they know, then sadly, you're mistaken :( I've talked with a lot of farmers in my country, and most of them are 100% oblivious to the pain they cause. For them, pig, cow, deer is just a pile of meat. And no, it's not that these people are heartless per se. If you were in trouble, most of them would gladly provide a helping hand, with a smile on their face. The problem is that they were raised not to feel empathy towards animals because when you're a farmer, you don't want to get attached to the animals you'll later slaughter. This phenomenon of diminishing empathy is not limited to the farmers either. The doctors that work busy ERs or in war zones for too long tend to get that also. After some time, all the blood and screams become background noise, and the doctors seem heartless. But if it weren't for that coping mechanism, they would go insane (some still do). The thing we can do is education AND what the EU is trying to do. To force a certain living standard for all animals designated for consumption and to continually raise it. In this case, that would probably mean that cages would be a big NO, the deers would have to have a place to run, and the removal of antlers would have to be performed as humanely as possible.

We have a deer family in our backyard! 2 babes are so cute, they aren’t even afraid of my mom..😅 my mom is afraid of them because they eat her precious flowers from the flower bed... but we never hurt or go after them.. my mom maybe whine a bit after seeing her flowers were gone but she just let the deer family do whatever they wants..😂

Andrew Larionov Because they actually eat the deer. What little remains of their meal after they finish eating, it’ll be picked clean by scavengers. On the other hand, these guys don’t do that. They focus on one specific part of the animal, not the whole thing, then abandon the rest. This is why fishing for shark fins is considered to be a heinous act. And most of the time, the animals are kept in terrible condition.

Some people are not agreeing with this and I understand why but you need to know that this is necessary because the deer is wandering around the neighborhood and it can cause danger to the people with its horns so they cut it, it will probably grow back so you don't need to worry, they are just trying to get the deer back to where it came from or escaped from.
