I've got these as reference in the living room and for beatmaking on the couch with the MPC etc. They honestly sound better (more transparent) to me than my KRK 5 Gen 2 Speakers. I have another pair of KRK 8 Gen 2 in the Studio. A veeery nice little speaker companion and honestly the best sounding I've ever experienced in that size. Obviously, if you crank them up to be very loud to lets say fill the room then they start to create a slight fluttering noise from the front baseports. From my observation all the analog inputs + bluetooth can be played simultaneously. 5/5 can only recommend!

We've been asking to review them ever since they came out, so if other publications have been doing the same, that could be why there is so little info about them out there. We'll have a chat to see if we can get future releases a bit quicker (they've been fine in the past, but things do change at these companies).

@@digitaldjtips I have heard the Iloud micro monitors have chuffing issues when playing on certain frequencies, would you say the go aux 4 have a better sound overall and would they be better for a dj playing dnb, dubstep, etc, or would the micro monitors be sufficient? I ask, because nobody has done a side by side comparison of each.

I built a travel studio so that I can record out in various places in remote nature. I have a solar rig, micro pc, Evo 8, AKG K371 (mon), and a battery powered touch display. For mixing would you buy the GoAux4, a pair of NDH 30's, both, or something else? My entire rig fits in a back pack. Infinite love & gratitude from Colorado!

We like the Minirig speakers for sheer portability

How do these compare to 2x Minirig 3 + Minirig sub? I don’t see that the KRKs come with any sort of battery. I do see that they can be oriented and connected more flexibly. What else should I know? (Personally I own the above minirig bundle so I’m out of the market - all set!)

Well, you said it - the Minirigs are a battery rig, this is designed for mains power. That's the biggest difference. Also, because of the sub, the Minirigs have a fuller sound.

Yes, although also consider just a single powered speaker for that (less complexity).

can you perhaprs use the arc mic input for a real mic? or as a general input? as that would save some weight by being able to leave my audio interface at home.

No, its not meant for that and doesn't work that way.

I read somewhere that the arc setting is lost when the speakers power down or when they go into sleep mode after 20 minutes of inactivity, do you know if this is true as seems pretty ridiculous having to redo the arc all the time.

The target audience will be plugging in other items to main electricity, so batteries would not be essential - that's our guess as to the thinking of the product developers.

@@digitaldjtipsI feel that now inMusic are using the “Go” branding a lot for portable battery powered DJ devices, KRK have seized upon this and slapped Go onto these. I too thought a battery would have been involved and thought it was a tasty idea. I’m so conditioned to seeing “Go” this way I felt catfished.
