USSR...Larionov, krutov, Fetisov, Tretjak, Makarov = Best team ever, period. Big respect from the Netherlands! Most of us were routing for the USSR because of sublime technical skills etc. Miss them a lot.

Game one. In all honesty Russians won it narrowly but they deserved to win it. Canada played un disciplined hockey, taking totally dumb 2min penalties one after another. ( Toccet, Borgue) Grossman's hit on Krutov in 2.period should have been 2 min and Messier hit on Stelnov on 3-d the same. They were never penalized. Kohraski was sleeping on it. Soviets played good hockey all the way, yet gave away initiative in last I5 min allowing Canada to come back. The OT lucky shot by Semak was just universal justice. In game 2 Canada played way better quality hockey and Soviets were equally good.

ну канадцы сами себя унизили на этом кубке..Поняли,что слабее и началось: "грязь",судейство,замеры клюшек и тд..Гретцки и Лемье только зашибись

I'm glad that the Russians and the former Iron Curtain country's players showed up on the NHL front door steps not long after this tournament. They deserve the compensation and its a better world to share the tricks of the trades_X_
