Wandering into Wonder. Girl's paragliding and camping in New Zealand Southern Alps.

In January 2020 an unusual high-pressure system developed around the Southern Alps of New Zealand and brought in a week of stunning flying conditions. I went out there with my paraglider and camping gear. Flying alone and with friends, hiking and camping. Wandering into Wonder.

Yes, glaciers are red from Australian ash. Very bad as it speeds up the melting process 😕

Depends, with Stef we took off from Roys Peak and flew 100km triangle together, wingtip in wingtip. Chris, I met him randomly after a few hours of stunning flying alone, we crossed to Rob Roy glacier from different lines and different take offs so sharing this afternoon over the glacier was magic. Comunity is small enough to almost always recognize another pilot who is flying a bit deeper in the mountains 😁
