To be fair I saw this coming the moment Fauna chose Persians. And they still are hard to counter as a mass unit due to their ridiculous trample damage (50% inflicted in a 0.5 tile radius when they attack)... So mass of Pikemen won't hard counter if you don't attack move (Kiara forgot about it) and loose formation which was never touched by anyone.

Just build monk, 1 monk is 1 third of the res of an elephant and they are almost guranteed a conversion in that matchup. If you let it come to the point where 60 phantos run at you, you just failed but in these kinda scenarios you can mass halb and get siege onager which deal enough damage to stop them if you got the right civ for that. Intermediate level+ players should never struggle with persian war elephants unless there is a big skill gap.

Many people during the stream are mad that Moona and Kronii didn't resign, I say they did the right thing since Kiara and Reine didn't destroy all the buildings, and by the time they had their jungle castle it's last man standing. The real problem was probably that some people in chat told Reine and Kiara that the overall outcome of the match would be decided by resignation order. That's why Kiara was a bit salty: she thought she'd be placed last despite doing really well. Of course, eventually, only the points counted. It just occurred to me, it could’ve been a lot worse-Anya could’ve been slinging Fauna. …so as an explanation-slinging is a strat in which one player is being given resources by one to three other team members building up an economy and using the market to tribute to the first player, thus freeing them to focus exclusively on combat. If the Civs in question have bonuses related to those roles, even better. This Strat is banned in tournaments for a very good reason.

Elephants are expensive, if fauna can spam them. Everybody else should be able to outnumber her 3 to 1 with other units and defeat her The problem with Kiara is she's not good at multitasking, when she's attacking she forgot about her base. The others really should've switched targets once they saw the Faunaphant army. Bullying Kronii and Moona early was probably the right choice, but once they were done for Fauna should've been #1 priority for everyone else. Kiara is probably the most skilled of them all, but she was like a pitbull - completely locked onto a target and nothing would dislodge her, which is why she ended up losing.

by the time Fauna already maxed out her population and assembled a massive horde of more than 20 elephants there's barely anything Pavonashi could do to stop the Rumbling, even if they try to spam as much spearmen as they can there was just too many elephants to deal with by that point. They did tried but fell short and Fauna's elephants just brute-forced their way through. Pavonashi should have attacked Fauna early on when their combined military was still the strongest, would've have at least delayed Fauna's rumbling and even potentially intimidate Fauna from becoming aggressive at the end

@@MikaHolic_Channel_OFFICIALthe thing is that Fauna was, and is, a Noob Not like a insult, literally she have little to no experience in this game if i understand correctly Kiara probably tought that the best decision was to erase the most experienced player (Moona), and with that, the best option was firstly attack Kronii, not only because she is the weakest member of the team, but also because she build a wonder with that, the decision was clear So, in shorter words They understimated Faunya team, or, in other words, they understimated the probable Elephant Rumble

@@Genburthing but Kiara understood the serious threat of an elephant horde, she was aware of what such a force can do and yet she still focused too much on Kronii and Moona. By the time they demolished Moona/Kronii's main defensive line it was clear the TimeMoon duo barely has any fight left in them, so Pavonashi should've Immediately pivoted towards Fauna and quickly assembled a force to counter her growing elephant horde. If they quickly rebuilt their armies as soon as Kronii-Moona's base was shattered and went straight for Fauna no doubt Pavonashi would have won.

that's so many miscommunication that leads this game to a hillarious AoE battle. well, they didn't even try to do a diplomacy between teams at the first place, so... But, the biggest mistake is when Moona/Kroni & Pavonashi starts underestimating the Ancient & Nature and think "Nah, it's ok" without a quick follow up or a better coordination. Meanwhile, Fauna & Anya alwas considers the other team as strong player, so they prepare for the worst. at the end, I felt really bad when pavonashi is started being salty cuz they have been playing underpressure. Meanwhile, Kroni and Moona is chilling in the corner. like, dayum, I LOVE elephant strat.

Good start for Kronii, though she needs to practice massive defensive strategy when builing Wonder for obvious reasons. Also I expect Moona to be so good at this since she played StarCraft, but of course pacing is different from Age of Empires. Finally Fauna, she played it before and just needs a refresher (but luckily for both Fauna and Anya, Team Kiara and Team Moona are too busy fighting each other). So yeah what a team RTS stream overall, can't wait if there will be StarCraft tourney.
