New Mexico Lawmakers react to possible government shutdown

Politicians are just mad because they can't give themselves raises. Last I checked, they all live in luxury already. Let's put that money to better uses.

Stop spending money on wasteful spending. We all know the NM state and all counties are spending money on trash like drunken sailors. If people would pay attention to what NM taxpayers are paying for, they would want everyone to be fired. Now, they have to be responsible. They cry like babies, but they spend like drunken sailors. They don't care about wasting your money but are first to point out when it's unavailable. People will get paid once a bill is passed; it just may not be right away, but everyone will get paid. Another note Medicare will be out of money by 2035, but everyone won't touch it. So cuts are going in by law Jan 2035 because no one wants to be blamed.

They dont deserve big raises but other than that, what else was wasteful in the bill?
