Fun Fact- The original "Koi Mil gaya" movie was actually not planned to ve a franchise. It was just a stand alone movie. But it was loved by people do much that the makers thought it to make the story longer and hence was Krrish made and then Krrish 3( Technically Krrish 2)!

I'm kinda split about whether you should watch the 3rd one or not. The 3rd one is still entertaining, but it is *extremely* derivative of hollywood movies and especially Marvel X-men characters. Andrew will probably spend the whole movie calling out the "references" from other works. Remember guys, Krrish movies are kids movies. They're not meant to be taken too seriously which is why there's a lot of cheesy moments and dialogues, camera angles.

Answers to the raised questions: 1- Those guys in the island weren't waiting for Krishh, instead they are the guarding from all intruders. 2- Dr. Arya had enough contacts to get Priya and the bodyguard by his men. Plus his men doesn't have to swim or need to fight with anyone like Krishh has to do.

1. Agree 2. Even if Dr Arya had that level of power, we can see that it takes a while to get to the island when Krrish chases Dr Arya through the traffic. Even if Krrish was chasing by foot, he was always only a few meters away from Arya, so we can assume both travel at the same speed and the same speed also applies for his goons to travel with Priya and the bodyguard. Keep in mind, this is the time for just getting to the island, Krrish had to fight the people only after this point. So to have me believe that Dr Arya called up his goons, asked them to search for both these people, and then they find them, capture them, travel to the island, and get inside the facility for a quick surprise, in under 10 mins, and all of this happened while Krrish was already inside after fighting the island ninjas, sorry I'm not buying that.

In the whole krrish franchise. The character Rohit suffered the most. First he was challenged for 20 years. Bullied by people of his age, teachers, no love, no father, working mother, everyone saw him like he had no future. Then when he got powers, he needed to fight the system to get jadoo back. Then he was used by Dr arya. Kept 20 years in coma prison. Wife died. Couldn't live his life, stayed away from his family, from his son. Couldn't watch him grow. Then in third one his mother died, and when he was about to get to experience childhood of his grandson, he watched his son almost dying and had to sacrifice himself and couldn't live then too to watch his grandson.

You nailed the difference between this one and the next movie. This movie was a self-discovery and revenge-based movie, with the "superhero" powers being just a vessel for achieving his means. The next movie on the other hand is a proper superhero movie, as the "superhero" identity and the "superpowers" aspect form the central plot of the movie.

The Third installment in this Franchise is interesting. It definitely felt like they multiplied the scale and the stakes by a 100. And it has much more action sequences and crazy situations happening. The story fails to provide that beautiful grounded feeling that I felt in Koi Mil Gaya or in Krrish during the first act where he's living in the woods. It's just entirely super hero stuff and super hero stakes start to finish. And yes there's a lot of Hollywood movie references like X-men. It's 100% my least favourite of the 3 installments but I didn't hate watching it for sure.

The loss of that more grounded feel was something I definitely felt during my recent re-watch as the last time I saw it, it was some years ago. I had the same issue with 2.0. I know Enthiran was a robot film but the film did have a kinda grounded feel which was great. Even the scenes that shift much, much more towards sci-fi felt more grounded compared to 2.0 which just felt like a superhero film. It felt like it was trying to be like a Hollywood film which would have been fine if the first film didn't completely feel like an Indian film. The shift from the totally Indian feeling film to the more Hollywood style film was strange.

If you want to watch more of Rekha, do watch Umrao Jaan and Khoobsurat (the ones from the 80s; both have been remade several times). She's a masterful actor with amazing range. Naseeruddin Shah, who played Dr Arya, was im Umrao Jaan too. There's also Ijazat (1988) which stars Rekha and Naseer in the lead roles. These three are from wildly different genres but I promise you, each of them is a wonderful experience in the movies ❤

As a kid, I didn't see this movie in such a detail. I only enjoyed the action sequences but watching it now, I realise what a good movie it is. For me, apart from Spiderman, Krrish is the greatest superhero movie I've ever seen. The first half is enough to fool someone that this is not a superhero movie and the origin of Krrish as a superhero is also unique. The circumstances which force him to don that mask is what makes this movie different from other superhero movies. The acting!!!! Hrithik did such great acting(in fact everybody did good in this movie). Hrithik playing the older Rohit made me cry. The music and Krrish's theme is so good. It's taken from the Hindu God Krishna's flute so the BGM has a divine feel to it. I really want you to watch Krrish 3 now. Sure, the characters are copied from X-Men but the action is really really good. Especially the climax fight scene between Krrish and Kaal(it has one of the best visual effects of Indian Cinema). The rewatch value of Krrish is absolutely insane. I can watch it anywhere, at any given point of time and still enjoy this movie. People enjoy this movie still now even after 10 years. Krrish will never get old ❤

The 3rd movie for some people may not be as good as the first 2 movies (tho i loved it personally) Yes it has heavy inspiration from Hollywood superhero movies (very heavy inspiration) but would still love to know your views on it and complete the trilogy. @@classroom3223 Umm maybe the security of Naseeruddin saw them entering the place where Chris was killed. The security they were witnesses and brought them to the island on helicopter to dump their bodies after Krish left.

The movie Krrish was absolutely amazing, the movie was so original yet had all the superhero tropes we all love. That’s why I was disappointed in Krrish 3 because it seemed heavily influenced by Hollywood superhero movies and not to mention the characters on villains side were not good. But this Krrish was absolutely amazing in its story telling even though it had sone dated vfx
