Crazy I always lived around Sedgwick & high bridge area most my life I spent mad time smoking weed at the park when it was illegal or took a few girls to.the park by the deegan.like 10 years ago when I was a teen who knew thats where it all started 😂 I got into the KRS one lectures at that time too.. I remember he said 1520 Sedgwick so I found the building one day not realizing I used to.pass it all the time next to the 181 bridge i was bugging cause i always was into History ....I hung around the building for like 15 minutes went up the stairs saw the courts looking like a weird tourist looked inside the building ....I smoked a blunt outside of it to celebrate I felt like I reached mecca or a sacred site 😂

As much as I'm a fan of Hip-Hop culture, I can't help but feel some cognitive dissonance between a genre which says it promotes anti-racism yet openly promotes Black Power. I know people like to argue 'til they're sweatin' about the difference between "x" and "y" types of power, but to me anyone who's talkin' about a power group wears their prejudices on their sleeve, even if it's just their smoking jacket. It's similar to how I love people talkin' about spirituality, but if they mention the Annunaki w/o flinching then I feel a moral duty to remind them that Sitchin couldn't read what he was writing about.
