I repeat: When houses 2,6,10 & 11 or 2,6,10 or 2,6 associate in Dasha, Pratyantar & Antar with 3 planets endorsing in Transit then a person will get a job. Kapiel - I had a consultation with Mr umang taneja and he predicted months in advance on when I will get a job. I must say he was very accurate. So I guess that at least in nadi there is a way of making such a prediction.

New to astrology here! KZbin recommended this... :) I must say a great vlog on an imp topic! Ketu mahadasha is said to be the most malefic dasha! My ketu is placed in 9th house.....i completed my law degree in ketu mahadasha and also got a great job in a US based law firm! Got promotions and appreciations as well.....around the last antardasha of ketu mahadasha got another great job with a great package.....but somehow things started turning bad in the end of ketu mahadasha! Lost job, relations, went into depression and what not! Now venus mahadasha started! Venus in 11th house......no job, losses all around! Relations turning bad, frustrations and delays......as per astrologers venus mahadasha was supposed to be a good dasha! Astrology is not what is on the face of it! Malefic planets does good while benefic planest makes life hell! Wondering why did ketu was good for me and venus is bad for me! Although ketu mahadasha was very hard and stressing but atleast i was employed and earning good for myself and family! I had lot of hope from venus mahadasha! But it has dissapointed me.....unable to get a job, lost respect in society, lost confidence, depressing life nowonwards......

It depends on the positions of the planets in the chart and their strength. Sometimes, malefic planets can be beneficial in their dasa too, if they are strong in your chart. And sometimes the most benefic planets may ruin your life too.

So ultimately it boils down to the fact that may be our past karmas forced us to a country like India to go through the necessary suffering of frustrations, delays and disappointments inspite of having a strong yoga, qualifications and skill sets. With all due respect, I appreciate your sentiments, however some folks who ask this question have made a significant investment in their career. Outside of that I have first handily learned that once at a professional level it's actually very hard to go backwards. Many times I hear, "you will get bored with this job & leave", & then don't get hired. So when folks ask the question, maybe the semantics aren't as particular as they could be. I suppose what folks really mean to ask is, "will I maintain what I've worked for if I don't advance?", which is a valid question if you've worked hard to be at a certain level, have a mortgage etc. Outside of that I agree with your point that not everyone is meant to work for someone, though in some capacity we all do, at least via funding source & so on.

It's really easy to say to someone they should do their own business, but the reality of doing one's own business is it's VERY EXPENSIVE to start a business in the USA. VERY EXPENSIVE! I would never go into debt to do my own business. A debt I would probably never be able to pay back. Debt is a type of slavery you can never get out of. I've been going through my Saturn Mahadasha for the past 7 years and have 12 more left. According to astrology I should not be working for someone else, but there is no way I would ever have that kind of money to start my own business. Yes, I hate working for other people, but I have no choice. Not everyone can take risks and taking risks with money is a bad thing to do in this economy. Also, women are still treated unfairly in business in the USA. We cannot get loans as easily as men and if we work for someone else we get paid very poorly and get treated like third class workers. So for women it's much more difficult in the work world, especially in the male-dominated corporate world. The way it is now, only the rich can do, be and get what they want and the rest of us will just have to settle for unfulfilling lives.
