The nextbots are intentionally 2d since they reference a series of roblox games where meme pngs with advanced pathfinding chase you and shout meme sounds associated with their image, these roblox games are themselves inspired by Source games which use a pathfinding system called NextBot (but until the roblox games were created, NextBots were not associated with 2d pngs)
