Great video, but I'm quite shocked that you're allowed to drive anywhere in South Africa without a safety belt AND a child on your lap. Wow! That's so bizarre in 2024.

I guess you’re just ignorant on how the Kruger works 👍🏻.. we only drive like that in the park. We are very much concerned with our safety and particularly the safety of our daughter. You don’t have to worry on our behalf.

Why on earth does he drive without a safety belt!! 😮 It's against the law of South Africa. How ridiculous and selfish of you to drive with your baby on your lap especially since there are 2 other adults who could safely hold the baby. Or safely secure the baby in it's protective car seat. What if a wild animal just jumped in front of the car. Unsafe practice.

Thank you for your concern, Elizabeth. I want to clarify that we only drive in this manner while inside the park, where speeds are very low. One of the individuals in the car is actually a police officer, and safety is always our primary concern, especially for our baby. We are very strict about keeping her securely in her car seat whenever we are driving outside the park. Your feedback is appreciated, and we are always mindful of ensuring her safety at all times.

I can also note that to keep our baby in her seat in the park is not merely impractical, it’s impossible.
