Kruger National Park | Documentary

Kruger National Park Documentary. Kruger in northeastern South Africa, is one of Africa’s largest Safari parks and our destination for this episode of Adventure Calls. We would search the park for the Big Five Animals. The big five was originally a term used by big game hunters to describe the most dangerous animals in Africa to hunt while on foot. The Buffalo, the Lion, The Rhino, The Elephant and finally the elusive Leopard. You will have to watch the video to find out if we got lucky on this adventure.
We would camp in Kruger National Park for 6 days in total. Kruger is a fantastic spot for self-driving and very affordable. You can also rent cabins in the park if you are not the camping kind.

Hi Stefan. We now bring a tamron 150-600 on our safaris which is almost the only lens we use for that kind of trip. Can’t really have too much reach out there. Did you already plan/book your safari? We also organize trip if interested adventurecalls.us

Thanks yeah we loved that car. Pretty cheap, about $65 per day to rent. We are planning to convert a Tacoma to something similar and then drive to Patagonia

You are extremely lucky with the rhinos clashing horns in the middle of the road. I've been visiting the Kruger for 10 years now every year and although I've seen a lot of white rhinos, I've never witnessed anything like that!

I'll be heading there in March =D I hope I'll be lucky enough to encounter the Big Five within Kruger National Park, but some of the other species I hope to encounter would include the: - African Painted Dog - Cheetah - Pangolin - Secretary Bird - Bateleur

How comes that the Buffalo is in The Big Five and not the Hippo?

Because the hippos would be pretty easy to hunt. They are very dangerous if they are out of water (or if you are in it) but mostly they are just lounging and farting in the water. The Buffalo is a mean bastard and will circle and attack hunters.

The Kruger National Park is the largest game reserve in South Africa.It is roughly the same size as Israel or Wales, and covers some 20,000 square kilometres. It extends approximately 350 kilometres from north to south and approximately 60 kilometres from east to west.

Sorry about this but "safari park" is entirely a disgustingly poor description for African national parks and reserves! A safari park is nothing more more than a glorified zoo (every animal needs to be fed by humans). However in these African reserves every animal is in its natural habitat and lives and dies by its own wits... Just saying...

I would have to disagree. Kruger is very much a natural habitat for the wild animals, only protected land and with protection from poachers to their best extent. The animals do live and die as they would under natural circumstances.
