Great video! Look at the ear coverts of Striped Swallows to easily ID them. Lesser has brown coverts and Greater has white coverts. This is shown clearly in the Roberts birding app.

Thank you so much for the tip! I will make good use of that tip for future identifications! I never knew the difference between lesser and greater, and mostly based my ID on a guess based on location, but the two have plenty of overlap so that wasn’t a very good method!

@@dogsofthewindso it looks like those were greater striped swallows actually. The shot isn’t great, but it does look like the rufous colouring is not over the ear coverts.
