Hi guys lovely chilled day after the storm. The storm damage has its advantages making it easier to feed. Two leopard sightings this trip .those macadam nuts were cheap however wonderful champagne breakfast surrounded by wildlife. Interesting grave of the chief 7 wives and 102 grandchildren. The views on the road to pretorius camp were amazing. Real life with the injured zebra looked like snare damage!!! .slush puppies worldwide lol .searching for jocks birth place brought back memories for me .plenty of fish Eagles on the trip and the display swooping mind-blowing I was willing it to catch a fish. The road was empty as I remember it in the 70s the young waterbok almost touching distance. Loved the tent and the braai could almost smell the damp air from the much needed rain. Nothing can beat the Kruger Park for me and I know I'm in great company with you guys. Thanks for taking me along cheerio till the next one

You're making me wish that I knew the Park in the 70's when the roads were still quiet for the most part. Kruger in 2024 is a different kettle of fish altogether, and I'm not always so sure it's for the better. But we'll always love the place! 😍🚙 The fish eagle over the dam was fantastic to see and we were certainly spoilt with sightings of this fantastic bird on this trip. We thank you for your company, as always.

Indeed a lovely chilled, slow-paced day in paradise rounded-off perfectly with a cool downpour at camp. Sure beats a day at the office in the Strand! Keen to see what day nine holds in store ........

As much as we love Strand, we'd much, much rather be back in Kruger! 😍 We enjoyed taking it a little easier and slower than usual, it's the perfect place for that. We're keen to have you join us for Day 9! 😁🚙

We saw enough of the leopard to make it count as seeing one! 😁🐆 We were desperate to see them and they were even more elusive than usual. They're such magnificent cats and we always love seeing them! I'm chuffed that you're still enjoying our Kruger journey.

Transport dam is where the battle at the Kruger video was filmed. If you have not seen the video, look it up on KZbin. Brilliant video

Hi Curtis, Sonia, Dusty, and Sandy. Another excellent video. Highlight was the fish eagle soaring over the water. As I was watching I was thinking it would be magical to see it swoop down and lift a fish out the water. And then you said the same thing. Sad about the injured zebra . So senseless to try and capture a fine animal. Did you get feedback from the park officials that it had, in fact, been attended to perhaps. ? Im glad of rain there in the park and it wasn't accompanied by the strong gusty winds of the previous day Fortunately your campsite escaped the brunt of the storm judging by the number of broken/ downed trees.

Hello there! There is unfortunately no way to follow up on a situation like the one of the injured zebra and get accurate info. We've tried before in similar situations without success, so we resign ourselves to the outcome once we've reported the matter. I agree with you, it's completely senseless human behaviour. 😥🦓 I thought you might be happy about the glorious rain that fell, it's so very much needed in our beloved Park. The fish eagle was most certainly a highlight for me too of Day 8. If possible, I'm even more in awe of that magnificent bird than before. 😍🦅

It was so good to travel with you guys and seeing all the very familiar sights, i.e. the dusty roads, the dams, Jocks birthplace and more. So sickening to see the poor Zebra. It must have suffered greatly. We know what a storm is like in Skukuza. In 2018 we were caught in a massive hailstorm and the weight of all the hail crunched our caravan tents and poles. It was terrifying. Looking forward to day 9.
@DustBugsTravel3 сағат бұрын
We felt very sorry for the poor zebra, such needless suffering all at the hands of human beings. 😥🦓 I'll never understand it. Your 2018 storm sounds rough, luckily we didn't have hail in the mix too. At one point I thought our tent would blow away! I'm glad you're enjoying the roads of Kruger with us. 🚙😁

The poor zebra was caught in a snare set by poachers and it was still around its neck. I'm not sure they would've been able to treat and save it, but I really hope they were able to help it out of its misery somehow. 😥🦓 The bird on yellow stilts is indeed a Wattled Lapwing. The name Ledeboer rings a bell. We may have seen it last year, but i don't recall it on our recent trip. The upcoming videos, which are still to be edited, may prove me wrong though! 😁 I hope that your dinner was as good as our burgers were that night!

Friend of mine lawyer Koos Kemp from Pietersburg was mauled to death by his tamed buffalo...... late1990's, dangerous animal
@DustBugsTravel2 сағат бұрын
Yup, my thought is that a wild animal can never be completely tame, especially not a dangerous one like a buffalo. 🐃
@malcolmcarter8817 сағат бұрын
Glad you both got home before the rain did you hear anything more about the zebra that was sneered will they put it down or try and save it some good sighting you had today.
@DustBugsTravel2 сағат бұрын
We didn't get feedback about the poor zebra. We learnt before that it's a very difficult thing to try and follow up and actually get the correct info. The poor zebra's injury was too severe, in my opinion, for it to be saved, so I would imagine they would've had to euthanise it if they were 'lucky' enough to find it. 😥🦓 Our timing was excellent and I'm so glad we were back home when it started to pour! 😁🌧️

Buffalo, Wildebeest, and Zebra together is a unique interesting sighting. That Zebra is scary. Did you finally report it to the authorities!
@DustBugsTravel2 сағат бұрын
We thought it was particularly interesting too that the two buffalo had joined the zebra and wildebeest. 🐃🦓 The poor zebra saddened us greatly. 😥 We reported it to Pretoriuskop Reception and they immediately notified the Ranger with the location.

Day 8 video is tops and clear. Keep on doing the good work. Question: Do you edit the video selves? What programme do you use?

Thank you, I appreciate that. 😊 I edit all our own videos, yes. I used Da Vinci Resolve for a long time, but have switched to CapCut and I'm quite happy with it so far.
