1st time seeing this & trying to understand who's who & what's going on, which in lion society is not easy, but my question is at 1:10 the voice speaking says the Gomondwane lions consists of 6 lions but photo top left show 7 so I'm a bit confused. I have a passion for behavior, specifically animal behavior, the big cats in particular; I have read many books, have numerous DVD's just so I can observe an animal's behavior. I've had quite a few cats over the yrs. & spent lots of time just watching them. I'm one of those who stays silent & stares in order to try to understand what's going on & what they are "thinking." We can learn a lot from them but we are a noisy bunch, sometimes not knowing when to be quiet & just observe. Thank you.

Hi and Welcome 😊🦁. They were 7, and one sadly passed on shortly after that photo. They were a formidable force, with numbers and plenty of experience. One went missing, and never seen again until they all ultimately died, hence saying that he died early on. Glad to hear that you enjoy these lions as much as i love following their stories and ways. I do agree with you, about animals and their behavior, hence me being away from people, and in the bush, with them. They are pure souls, unlike humanity. Hope you learn more,as you watch their journey i share with love.❤️🦁

I agree with you, Cobus. That Lion, beautiful as he is, is not Tank. The size is off... Tank was huge! As for Tank.... If he is dead, my concern is poaching. I'm worried that they either took him, or killed him for sport... 😢😢 I'm not convinced that didn't happen, I suspect foul play. A high profile Lion like Tank, you know... Splitnose and Blondie missing as well just turns my stomach, what's going on here?? This was a coalition to reckon with! All strong, huge Lions, even when Tank went wandering!! After Zaza got snared (and rescued!) I got to thinking about those poachers... I truly hope I'm wrong, and that it was fight with other Lions. I can deal with natural tragedy like that, but poaching and killing for no reason I cannot deal with.... I guess we'll keep guessing until Tank's body is found, or until poachers man up. 😢

It's extremely sad, that we should sot and discuss poaching, what has happened to humanity. So sad, but reality unfortunately. There was an injured male spotted late this afternoon, I'm in tomorrow early to scout the area. He's badly injured too. From distance, it looked like Tank. But I'm not 100% sure, hence holding off on that for now. But I'll find him.

The only hope I have for Tank is that he joined the Eastern Gomondwanes otherwise I think Tank is sadly enough dead. For Splitnose and Blondie I’m hoping to see something about them soon, I only found that they had a serious battle with rivals 2 days ago so don’t know anything about it but the fact that they are Both missing and probably wounded is also something to Worry about. Hopefully this is not the end of the 3 mighty brothers 🙏🦁 they don’t deserve a end like this, to just disappear and never really getting to know what has happened to them.

The only problem we're going to have is Zaza is just like his father Tank he goes off on his own and if he goes off one day and runs into those s21 males even though he's big and can handle his own they could kill him. As far as Tank unless his body is found or he reappears I will always think there was foul play done to him and now also he's brothers. I pray that Zaza will stop being like his father and stay close to his brothers like his uncles in the east. Great video son God be with you and the family always 😇🙏💖

I hope and pray that you do find them (Splitnose and Blondie) with their brother Tank but I don't think you'll find all three together maybe just Splitnose and Blondie but we have lost Tank and we have to try to accept it but for me I will never accept his disappearance as natural but as foul play. 😢💔

I agree that the s26 males or some other lions took Tank out during the night.As for Splitnose and Blondie i fear the same thing happened to them but i bet Splitnose and Blondie went down fighting.

I really wish all 6 brothers would’ve stayed together. What a force they would’ve been!! I still have an inkling of hope for Tank to came back, but I’m really think he has perished. The old S21 males, TB, or poachers got him. Now we have to worry about Splitnose and Blondie since they’ve had an altercation recently. Blondie was seen the morning after with blood of all over him injuries to his face, but hasn’t been seen since. Splitnose hasn’t been seen at all. I’m wondering if any of the guides have seen the HP pride and cubs since the fight. I’m worried bout the cubs. Thanks for keeping us updated 💜🦁

Casper is Shishangaan my friend. They roam the Satara area, more central Kruger. Shishangeni, is a private area right next to Crocodile Bridge🦁😀. I also got that mixed up when i started.
