I usually wrap the product to the pallet and also rope it together to create good stability. On the bottom of the pallet I create an X pattern on each side connecting the product to the pallet and I rope the product together with at least 2 layers and then I wrap the whole pallet with 2 layers. And guys I feel like tying a knot in the pallet isn't really that bad... always carry a box knife with you

Hey first off tying a knot at the bottom is poor form . Find a box in the middle of the pallet stretch pallet wrap to form a sting slide that under the box go easy on your first rotation, then go up towards the top of the pallet. This is important. Make sure you wrap the top of the pallet tight. Three layers streched stretched tight. This will stop your pallet from tipping during loading and Unloading. The bottom of the pallet wrapping technique to three or excessive layers is basically waste as the load should be strapped down. Two layers is fine. The middle of the pallet needs less wrapping if you wrap the top and bottom of the pallet tightly. For example, if the the forklift diver brakes hard going forward the load will slide against the mast of the forklift. But breaking hard going in reverse the load may and probably will tip over. Having the top of the pallet wrapped tight will reduce damage and clean up

How do I not get friction burn
@swordfoxhq8038 Жыл бұрын
You get used to it as you wrap more pallets lol. Like playing a guitar, it hurts at first, but once you get used to it and learn a bit more it happens less and less. I only get a frition burn maybe once or twice every two weeks

@@pascalf9362 you can just wrap it 3 or more times at the bottom tightly and dip down so that the wrap is part way on pallet and box and, it will hold up to 2500kg 5000pds. I work at a warhouse that most nights we pick around 30,000 to 100,000 pds a day or more depending on assignment. Some pallets may be as much 200pds all the way up to 5000 and in the last 6 months we have only had 2 pallets fall in a truck and be returned,"most likely the trucker" I pick 290 an hour weekly.
@damasek219 Жыл бұрын
@@pascalf9362tying it around doesn't fix the boxes to the pallet. I never tie it, just slide under the box and my pallets are always perfectly stable even if they weigh a ton. Tying it does absolutely nothing beneficial, which you'll know if you have any common sense about basic physics. And if you have many pallets to wrap, you can save ten minutes just on that.

tie into all 4 corners.... (especially for heavy pallets) and wrap a couple of rows of cartons at a time.... I have zero shipping claims on outbound pallets of 500 to 2000 lbs.. inbound is a whole other story... loads shift all the time, and I have had 2 claims in 2022, where I trucking companies broke a pallet in half... first time I have ever seen that... I mean they destroyed the pallet .... luckily most of my inbound goods are tough to damage, but they managed to lose a few cartons that were financially a burden for us.... take pictures of everything you ship, and get your suppliers to do the same... poor handling by trucking companies is nothing new, they just are in too much of a hurry and don't care about the products arriving in new condition., been doing this for 40 years.....

Just tuck the foil between boxes. You are wasting time doing a tie under a pallet. Also an inner side of a stretch wrap is more "stickier". On this video inner side is facing out all the time. Two pallets wrapped a same way will stick one to another for sure.
