Where did you buy the bars for the harness..i want those
@patd4u23 жыл бұрын
After going out a couple months with my six point harnesses I had to make some modifications to them. The shoulder pads were too stiff for me, They were chafing my shoulders too much and I was always pulling on them. So I cut them off and bought some different shoulder seatbelt pads and put them on which are much softer. And I didn't care for the six point lower belts. So I removed those and now I have a 4 point harness which I am much happier with. I put some clamps on the belts to prevent them from re-tracking into the mechanism so that the belts do not climb up my stomach and stay on my hips. I can still move forward to reach the key and the glove box and adjust my mirrors so I really like the retractable part of the harness. Just don't want them retracting all the time making them tighter. So the clamps prevent that. I had PRP harnesses on my RZR and they were so hard to adjust, and when I had them on I could not adjust my mirrors or reach my key or if I forgot to put my gloves on I couldn't reach the gloves on the dash. So that was very annoying. With these changes I made to the harness I really like them now.

Sounds like they work way better for you. I think I saw a post about this on Facebook. Was that you? -Garrett

Did you have to bypass the seat belt lock wiring?

No, the belts come with plug setup.

Nice to see what the harnesses are all about! Once again great video! Not sure if I’m going to like that set up with the bars. Looks as if they will prevent the seats from going all the way back. Also may be in the way for putting my amo tool boxes back there. 🤔 will have to think about all that. May wait to see what the aftermarket comes up with. Thank you! Helps out.

The seat goes all the way back, but yes it blocks your entry from the top down. You could slide items in the side. I don’t see any other option that could be different. 👍 -Garrett

I don't see the point I'm sure its safer and looks cool but it's not as comfortable as stock ones

They’re more safe and when you go rolling down a high 200 ft sand dune hill you will be glad you have them. Also surprisingly they’re very comfortable and probably more then the stock ones. The retractable style makes all the difference. 👍-Garrett

Can the seat go back all the way with the bar installed?

Almost but not all the way.

I’ve read that the rear speaker pods do not work with the harness kit. Just curious if they would work if installed before the harness bars. Or if you’ve heard anything about getting the rear pods to work with the harnesses

So they don’t unless you turn them upside down the harness bars. Go checkout Big Pine Powersports they have a vid about it. 👍 -Garrett

The harness look great but off topic why is your check valve or filter for the fuel tank white? Is it a fix for the tank pressure?

Does the harness restrict how far the seat will go back?
@DerangedOffRoad2 жыл бұрын
Yes just a little
@jasonjacques41523 жыл бұрын
sweet! How much space is between the bar and the seat when all the way back? Just wondering if this would be compatible with moving the seat back 3"? looks like there may not be 3"
@DerangedOffRoad3 жыл бұрын
Nope you won’t have three inches at all. It actually doesn’t allow the seat to go back to the very end after installing the harness bar.

What are your thoughts on the harnesses? Are they worth the money? They just don't look as well made compared to PRP or Simpson, I know you get the comfort, but it's hard to tell without seeing in person.

I have had them now for a bit and they’re great. Quality has been completely fine and comfort of adjustability is awesome. Would I buy them again? Yes. 👍 -Garrett

Thanks for posting all the info on the KRX 1000! I am in the market for a SxS and your info has been helpful. I was hoping you could address the power issue. I have read and watched several other posts/videos on the KRX and that seems to be the pinch point for users. I am looking for a good sports machine the is versatile. Will be doing most of my riding in the St George area. Can you give some input on your thoughts with the power? Thanks again....

Pappy RV This power issues is getting on my nerves. I’ve have owned Rzr 1000s Polaris General 1000. No Turbo machines. But I ride wooded mountain trails, crazy insane rocky hill climbs, deep mud. Everything but high speed sand. This KRX makes everything look easy compared to my other machines. THERE ARE ABSOLUTELY NO POWER ISSUES. My buddy I ride with had his RZR 1000 last ride. We’ve been riding the mountains together for years. He struggled to keep up in every department last week. I think he has decided to let his RZR go down the road.

Agree it’s a crazy argument because the power has been great, but the ride quality is so much better as well. Also I ran one bar for belt temp all weekend at Dumont in 65 degree weather. -Garrett

Garrett (KRX Owner) is at Dumont playing in the dunes for a few days so I’m not sure He’ll be able to respond so I’ll give you my input. The KRX is not going to win a drag race against most 1000cc machines so if you plan to drag race everyone, i’d go a different direction. With that said, it’s one of, if not the most versatile machines on the market. Suspension is awesome, trail riding is smooth, it makes rock crawling look easy, and has a large and comfortable cabin. It absorbs the whoops very well and flys very well if you plan to jump. Hope that helps. -Joe
