Is it bad if the ball joints on top of the spindle and stud on bottom. Compared to your tie rods that are reversed. Bought a new Duramax and noticed mine are on the top.

Typicalgamer_fan 82 What year truck? The hole in the spindle is tapered so it would only work one way so I’d imagine its the way it supposed to be.

How do they ride? Also what kind of shocks are you running? My LB7 is starting to ride pretty rough. I’m in the market for some tie rods and shocks 😎🇺🇸

Well tierods don't do anything for the ride, they are purely for steering the truck. However I have Fox 2.0 shocks in the front end of this truck and I like them quite a bit. So much of the ride quality in these trucks comes from the amount of twist in your torsion bars, but a Bilstein 5100 or a Fox 2.0 are definitely an improvement over the stock shock.

Thanks for the response. My truck is leveled but the torsion bars aren’t cranked at all. I’ve been thinking about getting new shocks and upper contro arms. Do you recommend kryptonite upper and lower control arms? I think I will go with the fox shocks I don’t know what I was thinking when I asked about the tie rods lol. Sorry about that. So with the leveling keys the truck probably will still ride a little rougher than a stock torsion key truck but even so if the key arent cranked it should be decent. As far as control arms they will not improve your ride, but the upgraded upper control arms will still help out with ball joint angles so they are still a decent idea. I personally do like the kryptonite upper control arms the best, I have cognito arms on this truck, they are fine too but I wish I would've went with the kryptonite version. I had kryptonite UCAs on my last LLY. As far Kryptonite lower control arms I have no input, I wasn't actually aware that they made a lower control arm replacement.

When I went down to the Dmax store to get my lift pump... I looked at the kit they sell. It comes with UCA LCA tie rods. You can run your stock LCA with kryptonite ball joints too. But it’s a pretty good deal for the whole kit. I’ve been looking at some reviews on both cognito and kryptonite. Just looking to see what others say about both. My truck rides so different when it’s under a load. Smooth as new. But cruisin around town... totally different story.

@@onecleanplatinum8434 I installed Bilstein 4600 shock on mine and pulled the the third leaf spring from the top much better ride. I also just got kryptonite uca. Haven't gotten around to installing them but getting that bind of your ball joints will help the ride.
