What size BDS lift kit was on that truck ? I’m assuming it was 6.5in because the truck is running 37s. I wondering does that front end kit work with Cognito 4in lift

This truck does have a BDS 6.5” kit. The Kryptonite package will work with a Cognito lift kit.

I installed this on my 2018 L5P. Is pitman arm supposed to be flush with center link? Ive got a few inches from it being flush with pitman arm. Ider arm went flush with centerlink but pitman arm is not. Im wondering if center link is upside down.

There is a small gap. If the idler arm went all the way in then it’s not upside down. Check the taper on the centerlink and make sure it’s pressed as far up the pitman as possible

⁠@@dmaxservice currently installing all kryptonite products in this video minus the centerlink on my 22 L5P and ran into this same issue with a gap between my pitman arm and oem centerlink. I pressed up as far as possible. Also added the Cognitio support brackets underneath both pitman and idler arms for reinforcement. Wanted to ask if you think the gap would cause an issue ? Thanks in advance for your help !

There is supposed to be a small gap. It is a tapered stud so it’s supposed to seat with a small gap there.

Strong shiny parts that do nothing but move the weak links to something a lot more expensive and harder to replace.

Luckily this kit includes pretty much everything in your steering system from tire to tire, including the weld in gusset that reinforces the next weak point which would have been the frame. Everything is oversized and reinforced in this complete package.

How bout the steering box, the pitman arm and center link are much heavier than stock parts. I'm finishing up on my 2005 3500 right now. Serious question, do you think that is the next weak link?

They are heavier but actually have less resistance when turning the wheel due to the joint design. We have installed hundreds of kits over the last 10 years and this kit hasn’t ever affected the steering box.

The current Kryptonite stuff seems to be the best quality it has been. We have been installing it for 10+ years now and we noticed that some of their joints/rod ends did have some issues when they came with the green boots, still better than most but their current product offerings are lasting a long time and we haven't had to do any warranties for them in a while!

its ultimate trash!!! less than 3 years its worn out warraty complete shit they replace boots for ball joints but u have to send them in. vance is trash!!

@ lifetime warranty doesn’t do much. system wore out in less than 3 years got 200k plus out of lesser stock system not a squeak. Krptonite sounds like 2 bunnies on bed. do same stuff every day work no off road hot dog stuff. its a nightmare dealing with this. just had wTer pump radiator t stats belts hoses at 320k it never blew but it was time. the shop looked at front end cuz creaks whole system is worn out. sent videos pics but not enough for them to think about helping. i take care vehicles all the rave warranty this that how great. greatly disappointed.
