@@dianapadron3843 Idk, Supergirl has pretty good flying on the CW and I'm pretty sure Netflix has a higher budget for shows than the CW. I think it was more to do with them trying to make the Marvel Netflix series a bit more grounded than the MCU proper. She never once wore a costume and didn't go by Jewel on screen either. And Hellcat wears a cheap looking Halloween costume that resembles her comic book costume for like 30 seconds or less before she immediately says no way and goes for a Daredevil season 1 like look. In a way, I'm glad they never called her Jewel and DEFINITELY glad they never called Kilgrave Purple Man, which is a ridiculous name for a villain like him. In general, Daredevil and Punisher were the only characters who wore comic book accurate costumes. And even then Daredevil is the only one who wears it for more than a few episodes. It reminds me of the X-men movies or Smallville and how they were super against comic book costumes back to then.

+Scary7064 -- Yes. While "the book is always better" is overall true, RDJ brought something to Tony Stark that was NOT there before. He was just more of a witty prick without the laffs or loveability. RDJ balanced it all out. The comicsu sed to overplay "The Tragedy of Being Tony Stark", which could be nauseating. "Tony Turns Evil" stories were usually better than Regular Tony. (Which is also true for Superman, these days.) But the Matt Fraction run on Invincible Iron Man is still outstanding. I had to learn to love Krysten Ritter's interpretation, but once I was sold? she can be Jessica Jones for as long as she wants! I don't see an age limit on RDJ yet, so unless Ritter ruins herself with plastic surgery or something, she could really have legs as JJ.

I love Krysten Ritter, she is phenomenal as Jessica Jones! Before it came on Netflix, I never heard of it but I'm glad that it exists and she is one of the reasons that brought the show to life!!! Her work on the show not only made me love her, but now it has made me a fan of hers as well! I always found Ritter to be a very underrated actress!! She has an amazing talent at being funny when it comes to comedy, and when she's given more dramatic roles she extraordinary!! It's hard to believe that she is the same person, when she plays a character that is the exact opposite of another character she plays after. I personally think she should get the attention that actress's like Jennifer Lawrence get, she is just as talented as they are! I hope her performance as Jessica Jones will grab Hollywood's attention!

Jessica's powers: -super strength (which also allows for superhuman running speed, jumping extreme heights, and safely landing from steep falls) -slighty accelerated healing (nowhere near Wolverine-level, but damage or injuries that would normally take weeks to heal, she heals in days) -most likely an enhanced metabolism to facilitate the 2 above powers, which would also explain how she's able to process so much alcohol

+DoctorWeeTodd Personally I think it's fine he's not purple as they were going for more of a real worldly, nitty gritty feel. Plus he's supposed to be inconspicuous. Yes he can make people forget anything but a wildly purple man would be very difficult for miss and it would be hard to tie up all the loose ends everytime he goes for a walk. He's kind of a different evolution of that character. They took him and they made him what he needed to be to work with the aesthetic and feel of the show

I remember Krysten as Rory's friend Lucy in a few episodes of Gilmore Girls. She was really hip and referred to her boyfriend as "boyfriend" when discussing him. Of course, she played Jane Margolis in Breaking Bad. The ill-fated junkie and bad influence on Jesse whom Walter White allowed to choke on her own vomit instead of saving her. Some say that was cruel to allow her to die, but I see it as she was doomed to her own fate and Walter needed Jesse, so to save Jesse from her, he had to let her die. Anyway, Krysten is a great actress and quite the babe. One of my favorite (among many) one-word snarky responses from Jessica Jones came in season 2 where she is in the park chasing someone and a couple with a stroller gets in her way and she just says "breeders" in her sullen way. I'll miss Jessica Jones. Great series. Sorry not to see any visits from Claire Temple, the nurse who weaved her way through Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Daredevil and a few other Marvel series.

Essentially she has super strength, endurance, stamina, and enhanced healing, all similar in level to Spiderman's (they're not Wolverine but they heal in days what usually takes weeks or months), she also flies, though she's never mastered landing so she avoids it whenever possible. In the comics she was also given some psychic "blocks" by Jean Grey of the X-Men allowing her to resist the mind-control powers of Kilgrave, in the show she developed the blocks on her own.
