This bowl game is like the ones I watched growing up. Back then bowl games were meaningful and everyone played in them if they could. I saw Barry Sanders, Deion Sanders, Bo Jackson, John Elway, Hershel Walker, Doug Flutie, Dan Marino, and many others participate in their final collegiate game. The 2025 Alamo Bowl brings back those old vibes.

I'm a BYU grad and fan. I LOVE the fact that these two awesome coaches and athletes are playing each other. This pure love of the game and striving for excellence is what it should be about. I'm also grateful that there is so much decent character as manifest by Coach Prime and Kalani. Both are super cool dudes. I've come to appreciate Coach Prime so much.
