The two pensive songs sung in Russian are by the same artist, Марк Бернес (Mark Bernes), songs 3 and 6 in the description. The beautiful cursive at the end reads "Ты всегда рядом", which means "You are always near".

Five years ago!!! Blimey!! With respect I am unable to speake any other language except English; I am English born and bred. I am so enthralled with you folk who demonstrate sand animation. It fascinates me to here and beyond as does perspective generally...has to be mathematical somewhere, surely???? To all you sand folk I admire your work and, to a degree, puzzle and wonder why it is we. all of us, seem to be unable to draw or, perhaps, it is all down to just how we see things around us, shapes, colours (UK) and perspactive, light/shade? I remain intrigued and forever doodling ( I try to copy M.C. Escher)....to this lady I say "Thank you"....from me in UK.

If you're not in tears, or fighting back tears, halfway through this, run to your nearest hospital and scream to the staff to bring out a cardiac cart, because you're dead, and you need to be revived... And yes, 6:10 into it, the music is a rendition of "Nothing Else Matters", by Metallica. Beautiful...
@RapeDrugSA
@RapeDrugSA 10 жыл бұрын
Not everyone is sensitive enough to get emotional halfway through what they might not understand is a story of WW2, from song lyrics of a language they do not speak and therefore just see this as beautiful art. If they need cardiac stimulant you need a xanax.

Reminds me of " Wait for Me" "Wait for me" is one of the best-known of all Russian poems written by Konstantin Simonov in 1941, soon after Hitler's invasion of Russia. In the summer of 1941, Simonov was 25 and already an increasingly successful Soviet poet and playwright. He was passionately in love with the young actress Valentina Serova. When Hitler struck, Simonov received immediate orders to proceed to the front as a war correspondent. Valentina saw him off at the station...

I honestly feel like this is one of if not the most important piece of art in this generation. The passion and urgency in her movements were honestly brutal. The desperation in her hands to make those in the audience feel that every movement she made was purposeful and meant something was one of the most incredible displays of sincerity I've ever had the pleasure to witness.

I love this because, while it is about the Ukrainian people and what they went through as a country, and is obviously very personal to them with the uniforms and music and such, every nation that has experienced can relate to this in some way. Cos its not just about WW2, its about all wars, and the devastation and sadness they cause. I applaud this woman

My dear Ms Simonova, This video is stunning and deeply moving. But not just because of the invasion of 1941, but from what your country is going through right now at the hands of another malignant force. This performance can just as easily represent the current invasion. Safety is an elusive premium.

Russia sacrificed a lot in WW II (they call it the Great Patriotic War). They alone lost an estimated 22 million people, only 9 million being military. Many of those lost were men, causing an extreme population fall afterwards, and many families lost fathers, brothers, cousins, and uncles. Though WW II is so long ago to the younger generations here in the US or even in Europe, the war is still 'fresh' in the mind of Russia. It is a celebration of their victory, but it is also a solemn remembrance of those who were lost.

*The ultimate purpose of art is to bring people into the present. Good art forces you into the present, because it can only be seen in the present*. Andy Warhol showed with his famous soup can picture that anything can be art if you look at it with your total attention. *Life is art, but people do not see it, that is why we need a higher awareness of how life really works and what our true purpose is*. Google *TruthContest read the Present*, it explains the big picture of life in every facet, it explains how life works, the nature of everything. It will change your view on life thus your mind in the best way possible.

This video tell's the story of Ukraine in 1941-1945. For those of you who think that Russia did all the job you are very wrong. Ukraine lost 5 million people defeating the Axis and they do deserve to be named
