Oh no! 😱You’re getting rid of Solinotes Vanille before the juice turns brown! lol. I’ve been wanting to get an extra one just so I can let it sit for a couple years and get that rich brown color. It’s so similar to Outremer Vanille though, so I get it. If I had 300+ perfumes I would probably declutter a lot of similar fragrances too. I rarely pick up my Burberry Brit & The Only One Intense, but I can’t seem to let them go. I found a combo I really like with Burberry Brit (+Poolside Cabana) a few months ago, so I probably wouldn’t get rid of that one. I’m back & forth with the only one intense. I think it’s the strong orange blossom that makes me turn away sometimes. I love Mix-Bar Vanilla Bourbon for mixing, but if you have scents like Nirvana Bourbon, Commodity Milk Expressive /Commodity Gold Expressive, Vanilla 28 & etc, then I understand. There’s not much need for it. Although, I still find them different enough if someone wanted to keep them all.

ive finished 3 whole bottles of vanilla bourbon parfum. I love it so much but as my collection grew I stopped wearing it as much. Its still so amazing tho

I only wear a fragrance or two for years. I have no nose for notes but I know what I like. That said, what I would be interested in is suggestions of a range of similar scents. Eg; if you love this scent, here are some in the same family, or have similar notes. I think I would try more scents if I knew that they were recommended because of my favourite. Could you do a series of 10 like scents or 12 best if you like a certain kind of scent. How do I find similar types of scents? I get overwhelmed with testers in the store and spraying on paper. It doesn’t smell the same as on your skin. I am hoping to buy more scents but overwhelmed with the variety and don’t know how to narrow it down. What scent families do I look for? I also don’t go shopping often for scents because it is always overwhelming and since I am scent sensitive, I can’t smell more than 5 or 6 without becoming overwhelmed and my nose just stops working.

If anyone is looking for an affordable perfume with a tea note, and you don't like 'Still', Tokyo Milk Dark 'Tainted Love' is somehow both sexy and soothing at the same time. The white tea note really comes through on my skin.

I love tea notes in perfumes! Back in the day my signature scent (and the only perfume I owned for that matter😅) used to be Burberry The Beat. Had no idea about notes etc back then but since getting into perfumes, I learned that it had tea in it. I've been searching high and low for fragrances with tea notes, so gonna look into Tokyo Milk Dark, if get my hands on it here in NZ. Thanks for the recommendation!🙏

My hubby doesn’t like when I wear still either , and I’m not really a fan it gets really musky on me , like dish rag smell almost !! It will smell good for a while but the longer I wear it the more musky it gets :(

Mine is allergic to basically anything strong, powdery or white florals but I don’t like those anyway. His nose plugs up and he can’t breathe and he sneezes all night. Even if I spray it in a back bedroom upstairs and he’s downstairs. I’m happy if he says “that’s pretty good” because that means he’s not repulsed, which means it’s safe to wear.

You don’t owe anyone an explanation for your choices, and you have so many you’ve accumulated that it makes sense to sell what you don’t LOVE anymore, but, I have to ask if it’s hard to decide what to keep because some of these were highly recommended as dupes - unless you’re keeping the real ones instead of the dupes. I’m just frustrated because I literally went so long without stepping foot in a Bath and Body Works or Victoria’s Secret to smell anything, and I was happily ignorant about what I was missing out on - now I’m going nuts wanting to try so many, like Velvet Petals, Bare Vanilla, and the beloved Among the clouds - just bought Among the clouds, Sweet like candy, Thank you next 2.0, Moonlight, Guess Noir, and many more. And I see some you’re getting rid of. I finally get ones that are highly raved about (not just you) and they’re already old news. I need to slow my shopping way down anyway, so I think I’ll just smell stuff and if I like it I’ll buy it, but I don’t need every Ari perfume, obviously, or Velvet Petal flanker that smells good. And I’m not saying you “made me buy” anything - it’s my choice. I just need to put the reigns on before I spend all my money.
