The only fight that makes sense for Ksi now is the Jake Paul fight. Fighting Amir Khan or other old retired mma fighters like Masvidal makes no sense because Ksi has constantly slandered Jake for fighting old retired fighters, so what would beating Amir Khan or Masvidal, or even Slim prove? Only fight that makes sense is Jake and I don't even think fans of Ksi would be as interested if he fought other people. Amir Khan was considered to have the fastest hands in the business when he was fighting. He's considered a bit chinny but tbf to him he went up in weight and fought Canelo and was doing alright until he got caught. Khan beat Pauli Mallinagi, Barrera (who beat Prince Naseem) and loads of other great fighters. That fight is just setting Slim up to fail, which appears to be the MO. Amir Khan would easily beat KSI 7 days a week twice on Sundays.

Golovkin took it better because it's his more natural weight class and he has/had one of the best chins in boxing. I'm not saying Khan should've been able to take it, that punch would knock out 99.9 percent of Canelo's opponents. Khan went up multiple weight classes for that fight, a brave and game geezer.

fr he really needs to sit down and review their whole model cuz if they are doing it like this, it's not gonna last imo. The issue I think they are having here is there is only so many influencers who will agree to fight at the price misfits are willing to pay because they don't just pay based on what they think you are worth through a qualitative measurement, they actually use a model by DAZN to quantify the fighters worth and quote a pay day based on that. As such, a lot of these influencers end up outpricing themselves and fights don't happen. This is an issue that needs to be addressed imo, a shortage of talent to fight on cards, and whilst you can argue bringing in the MMA fighters could be a solution, imo it's only a short term fix to a problem that is going to get bigger & bigger, it's like they are digging themselves in a hole here. And the whole thing with public negotiations, imo is a way of getting fighters to cave in and sign the fight, yes it does bring buzz and something to talk about in between events but it can easily damage a fighters worth to the audience if they lose a fight, it's a risky game mams is playing imo.

This sounds like promoter strong arming when a fighter realises they're worth a LOT more than they're being paid - given the money influencer boxing seems to bring in, Slim has realised he can make more than he is making and likely will only accept fights that match this expectation. We don't know the circumstances regarding the Slim/Pettis offer but given Pettis is fighting Avila next at 175, it seems pretty clear Slim should have chosen him. Honestly I personally see this as a good thing, it’s a win win for slim, you win you just beat a former champion and can call the shots and ask for as high a purse as you want while getting more exposure, if you lose then there’s no shame in that, you lost to a former champion and will gain valuable experience in the ring and still be exposed to more people I can understand why slim would not want to take that fight rightfully so but I also think it would be a good opportunity for him

Not sure what your point is. KSI fought Fury, even as bad as Fury he is worth more than all the rest of the influencer scene combined. And why would KSI, the one with all the money and all the audience, need to fight to face a lower tier influencer who would bring in basically nothing. imo I see this as yes a potential next opponent for KSI but the rationale behind giving Slim this option still baffles me, Khan would absolutely pepper Slim and from what we have seen on Twitter, Mams offered Slim 7 other fights all of which Slim turned down I believe (I may be wrong here) and then decides to let it out to the public that Amir Khan was an option, I think it was Mams way of getting the people back on his side by saying 'not only did we offer him a Khan fight (with a ksi fight after if he wins) but we offered him 7 other fights'.... With the whole public negotiations thing, whilst it does cause attention and something to talk about in between events, it can hurt a fighters worth and perception from audience imo but viewers are easily swayed in this space, all you need is one good performance and you are back on their good side. All that aside though, Khan as KSI's next opponent is crazy lolll, KSI ain't doing no karate moves against Khan or he gets absolutely peppered
