I have tried several different versions of Linux on my win11 laptop in virtual box. NONE works.....either hang at copying and installing files or if it does install it will not accept the password I created during the setup process. Seems to me this is garbage for most windows 11 systems.

The password to enter inside the terminal is the one you have set during the installation. Mind you that, the password wont be shown when you are tying in linux for security reasons.

I did all instaltion correctly until i reached to the point where i need to install kernel headers, i had to use sudo apt-get install linux-headers-generic and continued with the steps but when i restarted the virual machine i can't use full screen mode anymore

Was able to download everything perfectly fine after mistakingly downloaded the virtual machine version of Kali you avoided. Next issue is the fact that after I ran windows virus defender it picked up more than 20 different Trojan, python, back doors and executables tied to the Kali iso. Should I be worried at all? Or is it normal since Kali is literally a pen testing software. If you are having a memory issue or a black screen, try disabling the 3D accelerator in the graphics setting before booting your VM.

That's ok no worries if you are seeing a locked files. If you have copied the files to documents directory you should move to that directory inside terminal to see those files.
