You take that risk when you go back country, especially this time of year. Be prepared. It's not if but when if your a regular to the back country.

Everyone needs to remember the only thing that matches a mountain's beauty is it's hazards and dangers! Enjoy them with caution, ALWAYS!

It really is unfortunate that we have this type of situation on somewhat a regular basis. We can expect that another bad happening is right around the corner. R.I.P. To all involved ✝️🇺🇲

Is there snow all year round on those Utah mountains?
@pmkmommyАй бұрын
No. But it sure does feel like it sometimes! Winters run late here in UT mountains. Begins in OCT... sometimes thru June.

No, but this year has been odd. We had snow in the valley as recently as this last Monday.

If mountain sports weren’t so dangerous then they wouldn’t be so popular. I work at a skihill in a community with almost 400 Biking/Hiking trails to use in the summer. Danger is no Stranger! Condolences to the family and friends of these two skiers. They died doing what they Loved and It sure beats dying in a hospital bed. (I got buried up to my stomach in 96)

It doesn't beat being around for another 40 years or so of being able to do what they loved and other things. But then, they aren't around to ask "was it worth it?".
