Would love to meet them. I love this song and the album it's on. Brings back great memories of a best friend and I who would worship God listening and singing Stryper songs . Sadly , that best friend passed away... Back in 1993😭 And a best friend from recently moved out of state ... But if I could tell the one still alive anything, it would be that no matter the miles between us, I am always there . Because God gave us the friendship and I've grown closer to God through it. Always give a hug and say that you care, because you never know when you won't see people you love again...

I literally just finished Michael's book an hour ago. He talked about how songs from In God we trust were very hard to pull off live without a ton of backing tracks. There's layers of guitar and vocal parts , and keyboards , there's no way this could sound as good as the record. They aren't using backing tracks he said since that tour and I prefer to hear them like this live.
@elingobernable13315 жыл бұрын
He could sing like that, but he would have his voice destroyed after 3 concerts. There are songs that you can sing perfectly only once.

@@elingobernable1331 Yep, look what happened to the great Paul Stanley's voice. Pushed it way beyond his natural sustainable range and blew it out. Totally unnecessary, guess he thought he had to prove something, we're all human and make mistakes in judgement. Paul's voice range in the 70's and early 80's was already awesome. As a fan I find it a tragic loss and am not in any way picking or mocking him as so many have done, it's just unfortunate. BTW, Michael's book is a great read, good dude.

I'm not a "Jesus Freak" nor a "Bible Basher" (as they are referred to over here in Northern Ireland). I'm just an Anglican(Church Of Ireland) Christian with a simple, humble Christian faith who loves bands like Syryper but not REALLY heavy metal. I also like American Football 🏈 which is only played on Sundays over here and that's a sin as well as secular entertainment, according to these "Bible Bashers"and 'Jesus Freaks" Sometimes you can't win against these "Christians?"

Tim Gaines was in and out of Stryper 4 times! Once in 1986, when he left, & then was inexplicably let back in the band. The second time was, of course, when Stryper disbanded in 1992. Then, after rejoining the newly reunited Stryper in 2000, he left again in 2004. Stryper hired a new Bassist by the name of Tracie Ferrie. Then, when Tim Gaines wanted back into the group in 2009 (Just in time for a Rocklahoma Fest), they let him back in, and that forced Tracie Ferrie out of the band. Then, in 2016 or 2017, Tim got booted from the band, because, according to Stryper, he was causing trouble in the band, and even told the story that the members of Stryper told him to (if I remember correctly), either leave his new wife, or he'd be booted from the band. Stryper has their story as to what happened, and Tim Gaines has his story. Anyway-With him "Permanently" out of the band, they hired Perry Richardson from the group Firehouse to play Bass Guitar and sing backing vocals for them. At this point, Perry Richardson has been with Stryper for around 2 years, and his future in Stryper seems to be secure...unless Tim Gaines comes calling again, which I hope never happens!

What happened to metal? I remember Stryper having giant stages, selling out humongous arenas!, now they can bareley fit on the stage together. So sad, our children need a reinvention. We need to preach metal over disgusting rap and hip hop that has been deteriorating our country for 40yrs! Heavy Metalheads should teach our children, pick up instruments, this is music!, not that crap rap thats been killin society. Rap is reponsible for all crime, and the P.M.R.C tries to take down W.A.S.P!, Twisted Sister! WTF is wrong? Teach your daughter's and son's to embrace Metal, and not deteriorating rap! Stop killing our children! Metalheads are better in life! Hear this! Or you'll regret it.

@jandvadams4 жыл бұрын
I agree with you 100%. The problem are two things. The first being that record companies don't care about this kind of music anymore because it's hard to find people that want to do what the record company wants that are true musicians. They want to express themselves through the music that THEY write. The second is that rap is easy. You can have zero musical talent and that's okay. All you have to do is have a sample beat and talk real mean and fast and BOOM, there you go. All the kids love that stupid shit. I'm from the 80's and thank God I introduced this kind music to my kids. They are all grown up and still prefer this over the shit that's out there today that they are trying to call music.
@aaronkristo8582 жыл бұрын
Record companies realized it was easier to lure solo artists than bands. Less people to have to pay. The talent level is much lower now too. The less talent, the less musical integrity = easier to control. The labels make up for this with marketing and advertising to sell inferior product.
