KSP 2: Catalina Flying Boat...ish!

PBY5 Catalina! Great choice! And you managed to recreate it really well! Recently I really started to love these hydroplanes more and more. I don't know why. They are just cool! I've heard about Flyout and it's on my wishlist, but I decided to buy J:NO instead because there was a 50% discount, I was inpatient, and there are more things to do there anyway. Next time you could try and build the BV-238, the german WW2 flying boat!

floating has to do with weight, it fully empty might still be to weighty to be able to float, its floatation is quite simular to ksp 1 and its a lot easier to do this kind of stuff in ksp 1 due to less wobble as of rn, as well as far more choices in parts including just panels for making things look certain ways
