Except for Atlas A, which was just a prototype without any staging events, every single Atlas variant up until Atlas III used crossfeed.

the Atlas sustainer engine would take fuel directly from the fuel tanks, but fuel would also be crossfed into the engine skirt to feed the booster engines. The booster engines would eventually shut down and the skirt would be dropped off to reduce unneeded thrust and save mass.

Fuel priority can be very useful on big SSTO's especially if you use the big Mk. 3 liquid fuel tank. Have everything else drain first, that way, if you need to use the fuel to shift the center of mass, you know where everything is, and you don't have to laboriously check every single tank.

I recently discovered the benefits of fuel priority with unstable rockets, if youre struggling keeping the rocket straight on lift off, separate a big first stage tank into multiple smaller ones and set the fuel priority so the bottom ones drain first. When you launch it very quickly shifts the centre of mass up the rocket making it quite a bit more stable!

Thanks for covering fuel priority! I can never remember whether the higher number drains first or last. Also you just need the Turboramjet for a basic SSTO. That’s probably possible at your current tech tree unlock

If you use the fuel lines, you can see the outer engine run out of fuel. The catch is that they will shut off if they run out, but you're talking like 1 second.
