My dealership was never gonna figure this out. But thanks for the detail footage now I can properly install mines and enjoy it sense I seen you install it!

When you put the ride plate back in place do you need to reapply the silicone to seal the ride plate again, or there’s no need for that?

That is my question as well!

It is not necessary to re-apply the silicone, but if you are chasing that extra 1mph, then yes put it back on.

@@BrisbaneKawasaki Does the pump wedge add more top speed??
@seatime674 Жыл бұрын
That's a lot of tedious measuring, is all this necessary when you install the plate or can you just quickly put everything on the way you took it off. Thank you
@BrisbaneKawasaki Жыл бұрын
It's absolutely necessary, as you have changed the angle of the jetpump, and therefore the steering and trim changes as a result. Meaning if you don't adjust it your trim and steering will be out by a lot. eg. trim up = neutral. You must re-adjust

It does not. Kawasaki know our tune is safe. We are a dealership as well as a performance workshop.

Why does the wedge help if the ski has trim?
@BrisbaneKawasaki2 жыл бұрын
Unlike a boat, whereas trimming up or down moves the whole assembly, on a jetski, the nozzle bends the water to change the trim angle. Bend the water slows the ski down. Adding a pump wedge allows 2 degrees of lift, whilst remaining in neutral trim, Which is faster.

What does it do ?
@makavelibenitez22254 жыл бұрын
It goes with the Kspeed stage one kit
@BrisbaneKawasaki3 жыл бұрын
The pump wedge on it's own tilts the pump 2 degrees. Whereas the trim nozzle bends the water after the pump. Both create lift. But bending the water exiting the pump with the nozzle slows down the flow of water. Whereas a straight nozzle with a tilted pump has full flow and brings the bow up decreasing drag in the water.

@@raycaraway3230 Less drag = more speed. Most customers report a 2mph speed gain.

@@BrisbaneKawasaki Hey there, on the '14 Ultra 310x will just installing the new reflashed ECU from Kspeed give me 3-4 more mph? I may not want to mess with anything else. TY
