Thank you so much that is much clearer. I’m guessing the small hole that is left between the two increases after the return sequence is part of the design ? Maybe it disappears after blocking?

Libby Walsh The yarn I used is salvaged and a bit crinkled (maybe not the best choice for a demonstration...) and the sample is unblocked. I’m sure it’ll disappear after blocking.
