This was the game that got Solich fired because NU thought he had presided over a decline - little did they know that blowout home losses would become commonplace from here on out.
@yeeboiii57207 жыл бұрын
walterlv01 yea Solich really started going down hill. NU pretty much used to always best KSU. Yea KSU would have a wins over NU but once they started to get blown out like they did in this game it was time for him to go it seemed. But other factors like you mentioned got him fired.

That was NOT a gift on the one yard line. That ball was punched out. BIG DEFENSIVE PLAY. I'll agree, giving up 300 yards isn't dominant. I was just pointing out their dominance against OU. But don't try and belittle the win we earned to clinch the Big 12 North.

We've heard that the past three years. Prince was outcoached by Bill Callahan. That says a lot. You're really not in the position to guarantee anything.

OK, Brandon. I guess I have to point out something to you. Please look at when I made that post that you replied to. It was 9 months ago, which would have been in early December. They hadn't played in a bowl game yet, had they. NOR they wouldn't have played "their concurrent team this year", had they. Jeeshhhhhh...nothing biased about a team last year that went 8-5 (4-5 in Big 12)
@JHag45916 жыл бұрын
We're gaining at least three people on d that will make all big 12. Antawn Moore at LB (see Auburn), Josh Moore at CB (All Big 12 freshman), and Olu Hall (All ACC). Plus two time all Big 12 D-end Ian Campbell and a much stouter d-line. Best O-line since the 90's, deeper at WR, Freeman actually has a QB coach. There is no reason we shouldn't challenge for the north title. I hope UNL does too. I liked it when it was between NU, KSU and CU for the north. At least then north was a chance of winning.
@24Lancelot12 жыл бұрын
So, you're response is 'this year'? Do you want me to find some games in which 52 or more (come on...you know it happened) was scored? BTW - don't know if you've heard but whether it's by 1 or 50, a win is a win. We beat an Iowa team that sucked. You lost to Baylor team that sucked...and you're crowing about Nebraska winning? LOL!
@raisedryan13 жыл бұрын
All you silly KSU fans enjoy your what... 3 wins in 45 years. Nebraska owned you. Tom Osbourne never lost to a Kansas team. Go play basketball it's what you are good at.
@KBoe415 жыл бұрын
You cannot blame everything on you (or others) missing opportunities. That's a load of crap man. I mean, we could do that too. We should have beat Va Tech, we just had a guy blow a coverage. We should have beat ISU, we just couldn't get another field goal. Really? You wanna be stupid and play it like that? Points are more valuable than yards, and as far as I'm concerned, limiting OU to only 3 points is dominance.
@brandonc608711 жыл бұрын
Baylor sucked? Hmm, might want to rethink that statement...did you see their bowl win, or their concurrent team this year? Such a statement makes you look even more biased than before.

1. Anyone who knows about the KSU Football programs past will know that any overall record is irrelevant to an argument. 2. Almost all of the wins you posted are post Snyder/pre-return era. 3. Claiming you have a tough conference is more of an excuse for their current 4-8 record. The Big 12 is stacked with some nasty teams. On top of that Kansas State destroyed Michigan in 2013. Where as Ohio State got manhandled by Oklahoma this year. Don't try to play the conference card. Now seriously, put down the salt.

Dude, it's only Pelini's second year and he held OU to only 3 points! And yeah, they're not as good this year, but that's the first time they haven't scored a touchdown in 11 years. 11 YEARS! The defense was dominant that game. They stopped them 3 times on 4th and short. They may not be as good as defenses in the past, but they will be. Give Bo a couple years to get some good recruits. We're already in the top 10 defenses in the nation. K State can look forward to low scores.
