Are you here after Du Plessis got asked about his losses at the UFC 290 press-conference, too? I didn't know much about Soldic before, but after watching this and checking out some of his other fights, why was this guy not invited to the UFC? Lethal speed and accuracy with excellent combinations. Killer instinct. The guy reminds me of either Dan Henderson or Vitor with the way he is so wound up and springy, and the way he leans into those punches. KSW is a great organization, great presentation and fights, I hope they continue to do well.

This is top notch performance from roberto. He was patient, meticulous, he picked him apart in every aspect. He outpunched him, he destroyed him with his leg kicks, wrestling defense was fantastic and his game plan was brilliant. Even when he had him on the ropes, he waited and kept calm, in the end his fighting IQ prevailed and he knocked him out. Soldic is a better fighter and in first fight, he caught him and finished him despite roberto being better. Happens to best fighters, look at adesanya.

ONE championship signed best fighter outside of the UFC at the time and best European fighter Roberto Soldic, in order to cross their market and network to Europe and USA. But the problem was that they do not have 170 pounds weight class and Roberto went up and lost to Kadestam. And now, ONE totally abandoned the idea of MMA as a whole an all the fighters are leaving them. Kadesatam left, Ramazanov, their biggest Russian star, left them because they were not offering him fights, he did not have a fight booked for 2 years, and he was on a winning streak. Kadestam same story. Now Soldic is sitting on the sidelines for 2 years wasting his career in ONE. Chatri Sityodtong recently shared a post on Instagram, asking which fighter they want to see, everybody spammed Soldic including fighters, and he deleted the post. They are not offering fights to anybody but 125 pounds Muay Thai fighters. And that is because they are in huge debt. U see every organization has an investor, and they are taking money for upgrading and working on rising their promotion, so one day they get into profit and return the debt and keep making profit. But the problem is, most organization never make any profit. And its the same thing with ONE, they are in debt to their investor for like 300m+, and they are not making any profit. Every time they do an event, arenas are half empty. So now lets get back to the point, they promised Roberto ,DJ and to other stars like 800k+ a fight, but now, when their pockets are empty ,they cant have them fight 3 times a year and pay them that much, so they have them wait 2 years to fight and ruin their careers and that is why everybody is leaving them now, they have like 5 fighters in each division that are sitting on sidelines. Also UFC pays fighters much better. Just because u see Angalani, DJ, Roberto and other stars make huge money, it does not mean that other fighters are paid the same. For example, DJ is getting paid 500k to fight and all other people on the undercard are being paid like 500-1000 dollars to fight, and those are good fighters, not some bums. Adriano Moraes got paid 50k to defend his one championship title. Something like that will never happen to you in the UFC. UFC pays you 12k to show,12 to win in your first contract, no other organization in the world pays the new rookie fighter that money, people in PFL and ONE are making 500 to show. Also none of the MMA divisions in ONE are currently active, even the lower ones. Fabricio Andrade is sitting on a sidelines with a belt, because they cant get him a fight and by the time he defends it will be 2 years. And as i said, they are near bankruptcy and their plan is to probably narrow down ONE to just Muay Thai, BJJ and local shows. Even DJ has not had fight in 1,5 years, and it is because they are facing bankruptcy. No investor is going to sponsor you if they never get their money back and u start making profit. UFC is the only organization making profit. ONE championship make fighters waste their career and they promise them deals they could not afford or commit to. Look for example how slow the Heavyweight division in K1 is moving, and K1 is a known for fighters fighting like 4-5 times a year in average. Roman Kryklia, their champion is fighting once a year, and they keep postpone his big fight with Rade Opacic, and it seems like it will never happen. A lot of heavyweight kickboxers and other kickboxers are now leaving them also and going to Senshi, Enfusion or Glory. ONE is totally Muay Thai lower weight classes based promotion now, and its fine, but their plan to be a elite MMA promotion, or fighting promotion has failed.
