It‘s a decent joke, but it was really out of place at a political rally. A lot of Trump supporters actually think like that. Americans in general love to think that America is the best country in the world and that all other countries are lesser, or „trash“ (american exceptionalism, look it up). Let me tell ya, that’s not the case. It was really hard to tell if Tony was actually joking, especially for people who don‘t know his brand of comedy. I’m not even sure. He‘s a mean comic, and he definitely goes too far sometimes, but at the same time, he genuinely might be a bit racist and xenophobic. I say this as a fan of the show, btw. I come here for the comedy while trying to ignore the politics.
