KTM 1190 RC8R Amsoil Oil Change

The actual manual will tell you for your temperature on oil. Im not sure on your conditions I will say this if you are doing your own changes sign up as preferred customer and my number 5541460 its way cheaper by the case.

@@TorrentPerformance Thank you but I'm from India🇮🇳 ....in manual it says 20w-50 but is it safe to use Amsoil V-Twin 20w-50 in this naked sports bike or Metric 15w-50

Shouldn’t they bike have been started after the 3rd quart and ran for a few seconds before installing the last quart?

Is there a reason you didn’t clean the screens when you removed them?

They where fairly clean i did clean them i didnt get footage good eye in video!! Sprayed them clean with cleaner.

TorrentPerformance What did you use to clean them? I’m going to change my oil this weekend but on my last oil change the screens weren’t dirty but since I bought new screens I just changed them I’m just trying to decide if I should clean them or replace them this time

Also did you use 10W50 or 5W40?

@@Pmason718 if it aint broke dont fix it. Those screens should last a long long time. I used carb cleaner not the amsoil brake parts cleaner. You gonna give amsoil a shot?

@@Pmason718 the owner was running amsoil metric 10w40 and we switched him over to amsoil 15w50. I wanted him to use 20w50 amsoil but he wanted 15w50 he doesnt race just a daily rider. Also check the oil while the bike is standing up with dipstick i couldnt film and do that at same time.

So, the screens should be cleaned, as mentioned. Realize there is also a magnet in the middle of each plug assembly. I swish each around in some fuel, and then spray some brake cleaner to flush the screen and magnet clean. Dry and oil the o-rings before reinstalling.

ktm always want you to use motorex, but you can use whatever quality 10w50 oil you like

my bike will not turn over do you have any helpful hints? Relays, fuses anything like this to guide me in the right direction

Well with a rc8 I recommend if your not mechanically knowledgeable on the bike to take to a ktm shop. Why did it stop working, what happened, what was you doing if it stopped. Alot of variables and on these high tech bikes I suggest taking them to a ktm mechanic.
