I've got all the cleaning products for my SDR but just needed a little insight in the order of use and obviously the more care and patience taken the better the results. He did a first class job. 👍👌

Thanks. I really appreciate that. Apart from using the right cleaning products I think the main thing is time. We stopped a few times to chat and have a drink but James was here for pretty much near on 6 hrs or so.

you do ride your bike in the rain dont you , all bikes are tested at high water saturation in the factory they are meant to be able to get wet.

@adrianhall4612 It’s been 10 months since the bike was detailed and all is still good. With several washes in between. Each time though I’ve used a bike blow dryer and not just cloth dry it.

Been a bike for years but the gen3 was and is my first brand new bike and I'm a tab particular about my bike so this would be a great step for me. Good vlog brother, given what we know about our KTM switch gear being susceptible to playing up if the get wet I think you were super brave to let him get near the bike with the pressure washer 😮!!! That aside the end result looks great 👍

Haha. Thanks Pal and You’re not wrong I’ve already had it replaced after it shit itself after I was caught in a torrential downpour. Supposedly the replacement is a revised part.

@@shaney765 I think the key to it was drying it off. As you see James’s used a dryer. I bought one a few weeks ago. I told the Mrs it was for drying the dog after a wet walk but works very well on the bike 😉😁

@@Robbiemoto love the approach with the other half. Even if you use it once for the dog she will be happy. I air line my whole bike after a wash as one its easier and two for reassurance lol. Love the content as always make.

@@shaney765 to be honest I have used it on the dog a few times and not the bike. Once I’d arranged for James to come round I decided I’m Not washing it so he can do it 😁. I have a little compressor and used to use that but this dryer is perfect. Amazon buy for £45. Variable with two heat settings. I may do a little KZbin short review on it.

I don’t believe tyre shine if that’s what you mean is meant to be put on bike tyres. I may be wrong but I’ve never considered it and James never mentioned it as far as I recall.

Great Information, I've just got an Evo lastweek its in for detail then full PPF. I have to say Super duke R's are a bugger for stone chips I'm on my third Super duke R i love them however headlights and tanks are 100% worth getting PPF done mate .

Thank you. Was it expensive !! that’s a tricky one. Yes and no lol. It depends on how you look at it. It’s not just being washed but protected as well and when you do get it dirty afterwards the crap really does just wash off with a hose pipe. I should have said the price at the end of the video really. So as my bike was in a reasonable condition to start with I paid £250. It gets more expensive the shittier your bike is. Not just dirt but scratches and swirls in the paint.

@@markellison4875 I think so. Although the bike wasn’t in a really dirty state he sure got into all the nooks and cranny’s. It initially seems pricey when you think it’s just a bike and not a car but it’s good protection. I should have had it coated as soon as I had it but better late than never.
