Definitely sounds better than stock, like others have pointed out I didn't know that they made 2 stroke silencers. Now I have to wonder if they make one that trail legal in the US (i.e. USFS Approved). I do admit that you can modify a FMF Turbine silencer to sound like this, just take the end cap off and bend the turbine core blades to be less restrictive. Although the FMF Turbine Core is still heavier than stock.

Difference in sound is indeed less then what I am used to with my Akrapovic on my 4-stroke. Stil this is a great upgrade. It even cleaned up that last bit of hesitation that I experienced at 1/8 throttle due to jetting issues with the Mikuni carb.

i have found diffrent exhaust dont change the sound only the power on 4 strokes it change the sound and power alot

Ive got the 2017 300 exc and got a price on this pipe and almost died. $1000. Dude at the KTM dealer could'nt believe it either. Im in Australia. So yeah i didnt end up buying one.

Hi Joshua, I paid 500 Euros for the exhaust. I do always like to have an Akro on my bike as I like the looks and sound. It is more like a luxury item you do not really need it, but i am always happy to have one.

That is indeed more expensive then what we pay here in the Netherlands. 1000 Australian dollars would equal 720 euro. We pay around 500 euros.

I would say that it has more power and even think that my first and second gear became slightly longer, but it is actually hard to tell as this bike already had insane power. The engine does run better as it cleared up the hesitation at 1/8 throttle for me that quite some people are experiencing. If you want more power I would recommend to buy a JD jetting kit, I tried it on this bike and this made a bigger difference than the Akrapovic.

Thanks for the feedback. Actually, the sound of the Akrapovic is not louder than stock, I even think it is less loud. I had increased the sound level of the Akrapovic video to express the difference in sound.
