Ladies, Gentleman, Boys and Girls. THIS is how you do a Exhaust review. Far enough away that even a crappy mic gives you and idea of sound. On the bike sounds and Flyby. EXCELLENT job. Holy S though as it is way too loud for me.

trouble with the originals is that you can barely here it when riding whereas the Leo Vince can def has more audibility to the rider.

The stock exhaust doesn't sound as good as the other but you can't really tell on camera because it never sounds same as when live.
@HippoDrones7 жыл бұрын
yup, audio never records as you hear it dynamically in the flesh! :-)
@mayxnkb7 жыл бұрын
When you hear the exhaust live, it's not as impressive as it seems on video. I thought they made the exhaust note really heavy and the videos made it seem so too, but when I got my D390, that was hardly the case.

yeah, it is very quiet with the standard exhaust when on the bike, the Leo Vince is much more audible as the rider which I like! :-)

Hiya, thanks for watching :-) I didn't change the map or filter, just the LeoVince can and de-cat. I spoke to a Dynojet Power Commander V representative and they said they will be releasing a version for the 2017 onwards 390 Duke soon. I've not seen any replacement filters yet for the 390 either

No problem buddy :-) and I will post something if I hear about it. I'd like to run a Power Commander and get the bike dyno'd but the cost for the gains isn't something I can justify currently. If I get some overtime at work I'd maybe get one! :-)

why is everyone allowed to decat their bikes and germany doesn't even allow you to remove the baffle...

Daniel Schlegel I don't think everyone is "allowed" to do this, they just possibly put the cat back on for the test date ;-)
@Daniel-dj7fh6 жыл бұрын
well i'd also like to see a video where the exhaust is legally put on to see how it sounds like haha, how are your experiences with the pipe? do you ride with baffle and cat or did you leave the out. and quality wise? any rust on the pipe/ loose bits/ problems of some sort?
@Daniel-dj7fh6 жыл бұрын
aaah, ok now i understand what you mean by test date.. yea but here in gerany, if the catch you and test the sound and find out there is no dbkiller, and no cat you're pretty much half fucked. 90€ and a point. and you are not allowed to ride away without the parts in the pipe
@HippoDrones6 жыл бұрын
Daniel Schlegel the first half of video shows the bike with the standard silencer and cat, the second half shows it with LeoVince can and de-cat :-)

@brandon_c122 Жыл бұрын
U should add a piggyback ecu... with more airflow you need more fuel... Not only are they better for most bikes now days (due to "lean causing" emission restrictions), you'll gain power, definitely not "feel like it's losing some" !

hi man, well done review, but I'd like to hear from you some long-term observations: heating issues, fan noise (and how often it kicks in), vibes, pros & cons. There are many videos about it from India, but even tho they're all pre-assembled in India, european ones (are said by the dealer) to undergo a more rigid quality control, also temperatures are different so I'd love to know what you think! Thank you man! 👊✊✌ P.S. the same dealer told me that late 2017 deliveries were caused by KTM headquarters in Austria being really disappointed with first Duke 390 batches assembling quality sent to EU, so they disassembled all of them, re-checked them and only by then they delivered.
@HippoDrones7 жыл бұрын
Daedalus hiya, thanks for the feedback. I am gathering up info for a long-term review of the bike so will be putting something together once I get all the content recorded! :-)

Love you man! Go deep on it, I'm close to buying it: I love the looks, the handling, the p/w ratio, but all those problems ... I'm torn! Still haven't managed to test ride one cause the only dealer close to me stopped test bikes' insurance, and I wouldn't test it the right way on cold roads anyway ... Waiting for it!! Subscribed!
@HippoDrones7 жыл бұрын
Daedalus there are some pre registered bikes with zero miles going for £3k so you could snap up a bit of a bargain!
@Daedalus16327 жыл бұрын
Not that lucky down here in Italy, first deliveries in late summer and even though there are a couple of bargains (not that much, big word) here around I'm not that confident on trying someone's bike on a 5°C street with the risk to drop it. Also, the other choice would be an MT-07 (way cheaper on hand market) would be even more risky, so I'm getting my brain fucked up about it, thinking about motorcycles when I'm close to university exams! 😂😭🤯

No mate, seems to run sweet as a nut and feels more perky across the rev range too. I am still running the bike in though so don't have full use of all the rev range yet. Once it is run in (and I have saved some money) I'll get a PC5 for it and get it mapped properly. :-) Will be interesting to see if it gives it any more power than the 43bhp KTM state the bike has!

You should always check the fuel mapping when changing the exhaust else you could possibly damage the engine. The KTM runs very lean even with the standard exhaust, so with a free flowing one, it will be even more lean! Thank you, am glad you enjoyed it! :-) You too
