also its easyer to grind both the pins down a bit in to the link and then just use a screwdriver to pick it apart.

The chain is massively over tight. The brake line and speedo cable should be to the inside of the fork leg not on the outside....

Chain is way too tight!!!!!! You will destroy the front sprocket oil seal. Also flip the axel blocks to move the wheel closer. And the axel block on the spindle is threaded on so put it in a vice and tap it round to loosen.

When fitting a chain, put the adjusters all the way in, fit the chain with a bit of slack, and dial it out. Chains stretch so you always want to be able to back out the adjusters during the life of the chain. also, it is way to tight. for MX purposes, a general rule of thumb is 3 fingers under the chain at the mudguard is need. for road usage, 2 should be fine. If it hits the tire, fit a smaller tire, or you'll ruin both chain and tire, and maybe your engine crank cases as well.
@brianantnssn51776 жыл бұрын
P.S. you can rotate the KTM chain adjusters.

Is it possible to fit a keyed ignition switch onto a Mx or Enduro bike? KTM salesman said it’s not because of the ECU’s on modern bikes.
@SkinnySkinch2 жыл бұрын
Of course it is.. you just interrupt the power to the battery with a switch or relay and switch. They make lots of universal kits. The new bikes don't even have a kick start so without the battery you ain't going nowhere.

As someone else has said. You'll need to trim the entire side off the fork guards as the tyre will get bigger under braking so will cut into it. Or buy supermoto ones? Also you didn't refit the chain guard on the top to stop the chain eating the tyre??

With short legs the trick is to lean the bike and body only to the side without the rear break when stopping :) Using that technique even very short persons can ride it and that is good way to stopping anyway as then you can use both breaks or only rear... I did for a short while own a KX125 that had been modified with front and read shock from a RM125 and it was about 10cm taller then original. I could not reach down to the ground at all but that was not really a problem, when I had to stop I just jumped completely of the bike and when starting I jumped on the bike same way you would if doing a run start alone.
