KTM 690 2019 tank installation

Waiting for my tank kit to arrive. I have seen people connecting fuel line direct from auxiliary tank to vent outlet at the filler cap, with no need to fit fuel adaptor to bottom of main fuel tank. Seems a lot simpler set up but wondering if its a good idea or not recommended.

I fitted my tank with the fuel hose connected to the vent, 1500miles covered and no issues highly recommended 👍🏻

I’m installing my tank at this time and wanted to try this method. What do you do with the original vent line? Cap it off?

Consideig this setup because I like the extra range you get from front tank. My qustion is how this airbox deal with water coming up whle crossing streams or on rainy day?

Hi, no water ingression has been recorded. We regularly ride in the rain and crossing the rivers without any problems.

Do you happen to offer a wash cover for the new airbox?

I have this tank, and my gas cap broke. I tried contacting through website, but no luck. Where can I get a new cap, or at least new nipple to connect hose? Thanks!
