Add a Veridian cruise control system with the off road dongle replacement software. Eliminates the need for the KTM off road dongle and provides much needed cruise control that KTM refuses to offer for this bike. I put the Veridian system on my 2020 KTM 690 Enduro R and it worked perfectly out of the box, a simple plug-&-play solution.

I moved from an Aprilia Tuareg 660 to a Husky 701 because I wanted something smaller that weighed less.

@@Ride_Tek the 701 is 100lbs lighter than the Tuareg. I’m loving the 701! The weight difference and smaller size is noticeable, especially off road. It’s faster than the Tuareg 😜. If you are going to use it for adventure riding, it does need a windshield or rally tower.

Nice setup I got my 890 2years ago ah couple more years and I’ll probably be looking at a 690 it’d be nice to get something a lot lighter 🍻😎

Nobody builds anything like a 690. I have the 2021 which is still Euro 4, a good thing! Euro 5 runs hotter. The 1" lowering link, I put one on. If you land hard the rear tire rubs hard on the inner fender/gas tank. Does nobody notice this? I put the really small Riggs tank bag on, its tiny but it is out of the way. I didnt like the bigger bag. I have an 890R, and what a cool bike it is, maybe the funnest bike Ive owned and completely trouble free at 21,000 miles. Its no dirtbike, and wasnt intended to be. Loaded for a real one day adventure its close to 500 lbs and feels it . The 690 is a big dirtbike no doubt and felt that way the first corner I slid it around, its easy, has great smooth power. Not at all an animal like some say. Unless you rev it up some, and it really goes!

Thanks for the video. I've got the same bike and I've installed the upper reinforced bolts for the rear subframe, but not the lower. I too have the rotopax and would like to use it along with my rackless luggage, but am still concerned about damaging the subframe. Any thoughts as to whether one gallon of fuel being that far back while on moderate to light terrain, such as forest service roads? Thanks!

@@GooseADV thank you, sounds like you have a great setup! I think it’s a good idea to do the lower bolts as well when you can. I always prefer as much help as I can get, especially out in the middle of nowhere. I think you’d be good on Forest Service roads. I think where issues happen are on more bumpy roads, g-outs and bigger hits. Enjoy! 😁👍🏼

The guys who have problems with the subframe/gas tank bolts, tend to be guys that are either jumping these big honking bikes, or slamming them thru whoops or big G-outs at speed. I dont think they go south all that easy. The bolt kit is never a bad idea though!
