KTM 690 Duke Oil Change

I know this video is 5 years old but I have two small tips I wanted to share: 1. You should immerse your new filters in fresh motor oil before installing it. It ensures a better circulation when you start your motor the first time after the oil change 2. Don't open screws with your torque wrench. You could damage it or at least loose your calibration. Thanks for your video. I now know that I have to search for something I can use to prevent the oil from running all over the exhaust before openig all the screws 😅

Yeah i hate that all the oil is ruining the exhaust when im doing an oil change on my duke

If you first loosen the oil filters, the contaminated oil will fall onto your crankcase and then loosen your crankcase. if you do it the other way around, your old oil will fall into your empty crankcase and mix with your new clean oil.

you can use some sort of carton and hold it above the cat so it doesn't spill all over the place :)
