Another good review! Any idea if that model would fit the 790/890 adventure? I just bought a set of Koso Apollo grips model number: AM111030 but I don’t think these will fit :(. Like you I’m trying to get a set without the ugly button on the bars. I ordered the factory heated grips for 890 last summer that are suppose to be integrated with display this year. They are back ordered until Dec ‘22, another year.

If you can find a set of correct length they should fit the 790/890 I would suspect. The ones I bought are not long (120mm from memory), I can’t remember how long the 790/890 grips are. These are about the same heat as the KTM ones (not overly hot) but look so much better I think and also better looking than the Oxford (which really do get properly hot). 👍

@@CodgerBiker it looks like the 130mm that I purchased are going to fit. Some major modifications to the stock throttle tube required, however. Did you use the glue that came with, or something else. Always a weary of gluing grips down knowing that I’ll eventually be holding on to them for fear life. Thanks m.

Did you use the ACC2 contact behind the headlight? Is it both plus and minus there? Plan to do the same

I used the switched one. It has plus and minus. I can't remember if it was Acc1 or 2, but a multimeter will show it quick enough. 👍

@codgerbiker - Did you have any issues getting the right hand grip on the throttle tube? I bought the UltimateAddOns set but the throttle tube diameter is 257mm and the internal diameter of the grip is 247mm. Both hard plastic so little flex. Can't seem to locate a smaller diameter throttle tube in the UK.

It was tight but it went on my 2020. No glue required if I remember correctly. It's a while ago now but I thought there was some give in them, enough to get them on. Still working fine.

Any troubles with the motorcycle so far ? Any oil leaks ?

I changed the clutch slave cylinder immediately I had the bike. Mine was still ok but it's a known issue KTM has just recalled. Not a single problem. No leaks. Lockdowns have limited my riding, but it's a bike with many development years so here's hoping 🤞👍 It's a blast!
