Greetings from the UK. Really enjoy your videos, very thorough and easy to follow. Just got myself a 2011 990 and your videos are my go-to for maintenance.

glad to see the historic tradition of complicated routine maintenance with KTM alive and well. I don't miss taking the tank off my 1290S to change the air filter and other basic things etc.

Hey Mario From a 2022 point of view - how is the bike keeping up with the 1090, 1190 and 1290T ? I’m excluding any models with a TFT screen as I really dislike them. I had the 1190R for some time and was pretty happy (but had to sell as I needed some money back then). With the same milage of about 10k I could get a 990 for 7k, a 1190 for about 8-9k and a 1290 for 11-12k. I plan to do pretty much everything with the bike, from daily commute to 2-week trips. What would be the reasons for going big and new and shiny? From a tech standpoint ABS is my minimal requirement for riding in the rain and bad situations.

If it's gonna be your everything bike, buy one of the newer ones. The valve check/spark plug intervals are twice the mileage on the new ones vs the 990.

@@2WR good input, thanks, the range of the 990 could also be a dealbreaker

Love all your videos, very informative. What are your thoughts on the 950 vs 990. I currently have a 2013 990, but something keeps drawing me to the 950. Have an eye on a 2006 Adventure S, reasonably priced. Any advice would be great.

Just have to decide if you want carbs (950) or fuel injection (990), otherwise not a whole lotta difference.
