FAQs:
1) How much does the entire setup weigh?
Answer: 1200 gms or 1.2 kgs.
2) I'm aware you use both stock mounts for the base spider frame still want to know about the vibrations. My experience so far is stock headlight itself has some vibrations, and since I've added a clip on windscreen extender the vibrations have only increased! What sort of vibration should I expect with this windscreen setup?
Answer: Vibration increases due to the tall stance, but that is marginal on the windscreen. Due to the added weight though, the entire front headlight section shakes a bit more as compared to stock on bad patches or low speeds. At medium or high speed it's absolutely stable.
3) What material is the windscreen and headlight protector made out of? Asking as most aftermarket windshields are scratch prone. What about this one?
Answer: Acrylic, cleaning them when they are dry or directly with wet cloth can lead to scratches. Wash with windshield cleaner, soap water or even just normal water and wipe down using micro fiber cloth or tissue paper. This way you can avoid scratches. Pretty much the same like you clean the visor on your helmet.
4) How about optical distortion? For example if I'm using a chest mounted action cam, how much loss in clarity am I to expect?
Answer: Optical distortion is almost zero, you can easily see through everything without anything being distorted at all.
5) How fragile is the windscreen? Might it break easily if the bike drops sideways or bolts are slightly over tightened?
Answer: The product quality looks good enough. Does seem like it would be able to take up moderate level of abuse.
6) I'm 5 feet 10, should I expect wind blast shooting above my head or till my helmet?
Answer: Adv Conquest claims that the wind would shoot above the head but my personal experience was till eye level. Tuck in slightly and you will feel no wind at all.
7) Is there any change in beam pattern with the headlight protector installed?
Answer: Yes, but very minor with the low beam cut-off only.
