I have a new 390 Adventure and I find the bluetooth buggy. KTM grab any dollar they can by charging for extra features on thier bikes and thier apps. If it was brilliant and worked better than anything on the market, yeah you migh consider it. Thanks for the video!

Nice one on a new 390 Adventure :) Yes to the bluetooth being buggy. Having both a headset and the KTM able to take calls seems to confuse things.

Thought you sounded local then i see Chorley pop up haha. Thanks for this. Just looking at nav options for a new 890SMT. I currently have a BMW nav 6 which I'm selling. Hearing bad comments about the app elsewhere and that you have to pay for it. Not great when you're paying over £100 for the connectivity unit add on to the bike

Hi and thanks for subscribing 😀 I had the Nav 6 with my S1000XR, fine on a BMW because of the whizz wheel but not the best sat nav. Have you seen the Chigee AIO-5 Lite, Apple Car Play or Android Auto, plus integrated dashcam, TMS and more. It is a little pricey, but you're getting more than a satnav. @@motocrad ooo nice one.. should I reconsider whether to pay to have the connectivity kit added to the bike? It's costing about £120 to allow me to connect the phone and headset. Thought it'd be worth it if I could control music on my phone whilst using my sena srl2.. but if it's buggy and frustrating to use...?

I guess it makes sense for controlling your music. Although I dont use it for that very often, it does work well. You can also use it to answer or decline calls using the arrows on the left control. I am assuming the 890SMT works the same as the 1290 SAS.

Bit jealous of your DJI remote bracket , where’d you find that?

I 3D printed it, designed it in such a way that the remote quickly slides on and off, but is still secure. I'm thinking of doing a video about the camera setup, watch this space 😀 I can make the file available on thingyverse if you have access to a 3D printer.

Hei The bike does not communicate whith my samsung s 22, but works whith i- phone. 1290 sar 2022 Some thougts ? The dealer cant' help!!!?

Hi, I've had a Samsung S21 & S23 paired with the bike so I it should work. The first thing to check is that in the bluetooth settings on the phone, check that the option for Calls is enabled for the KTM connection. Only other thing I can think of is to reset things, on the phone go to the bluetooth settings and unpair the bike if it shows up in the list. I think there might be a similar option in the bluetooth settings in the bike. Then repair things back up.

Thank you for the insight! I find that it’s a stupid redundancy to have the map on the phone and then look at the ktm screen for the distance/arrow for the Nav. Only thing I’m interested in is, can I control my phone call and music with the buttons on the bike. Preferably for free! Thanks.

The bike & buttons support answer, reject and hanging up phone calls, but you can't operate and start a call through the bike. You do have full control over your music using the bikes display and buttons :)

Hi, thank you. In the bluetooth settings on the bike, you can pair a phone and a headset. On the Cardo you can pair it to a phone and a gps/bike. When you put the Cardo into pairing mode, roll the volume roller just one notch, which should allow you to pair the headset to a second device, in this case, the bike.

Ouch, I would say it's worth 10€, but not 5,85€ per month. Having said that, if you do get some good use out of the basic version then maybe the monthly subscription could be justified.

What brand GPS holder are you using for the Garmin?

And how does it goes around your handlebar? I have the one for around my handlebar but it doesn't goes around it. because in the middle there is that thing to adjust your steer and it sits in the way. But as I see you don't have that problem?😬😬

@ranjeet96k ah sorry, the only time I've seen that is if I didn't have Calls selected in the bluetooth settings on the phone. In your phones bluetooth settings for the KTM connection, you should be able to select if it works with Music, Calls etc, make sure the Calls option is selected. Hope that helps.

It's not really free though is it, as you've got to pay £9 for the basic app. I'm a bit miffed with this as I bought KTM My Ride when it came out and it was crap. Now they've sorted all the issues they've released a new app and I have to pay again. I'll apologise now as I know there is a lot of love out there for the brand, more now than when they built bikes for the fanatic, but KTM are just spiralling down hilll for me. Sorry mate. I enjoy your videos though 😂👍
