I went with the Acerbis on my 500excf. The price is great, and it comes plug and play already mounted to a new mask. I have the moto minded harness that allows a low beam feature.

A flood light with even spread will be better. The hot spot of a spotlight will make your eyes adjust as you look from the center out or vice versa. Hot spots are good for distance and for blinding someone in close-quarter self defense situations.
