IN 1958 Mau Mau leadership approached Jaramogi to a secretly meeting and told him to use his positions as an MP in the 65 member(only 8 were blacks ) colonial parliament (LEGCO) to demand the release of Jomo kenyatta and his fellow Mau Mau detaines detained at kapenguria . Shortly Jaramogi boldly stood up in the legco and shocked every one including the 7 blacks when he demanded the release of his old friend and political mentor Jomo kenyatta

This incident is vivid in my mind as I was a high school student in Kakamega County! The President Mzee Kenyatta was heading to Kisumu from Kakamega and on the way angry (due to Tom Mboya’s assassination) citizens threw stones at the President subsequently several people were killed by the presidential bodyguards, indeed Hon Jaramogi Odinga reigned but never ruled!

Tom Mboya was a CIA plant (America's Central inteligence agency equivalent to kenya's former CID now DCI) in the kenyan post independence carbinet (a fact Mboya kept a secret) , spying and reporting to worshigton(USA) according to recent CIA declassified documents.he was a CIA from pre-independent kenya (1953) to post independent kenya ( 5th July 1969) when he was murdered in Nairobi.Tom mboya was a victim, young and naive (he was in his early 20's in 1953) to agree to work for the CIA for a month salary of 5000 British pounds a month.and be used to seperate kenyatta and jaramogi because america did like jaramogi evr to be president of kenya because jaramogi had read DAS CAPITAL by Karl Max and thus ideologically he was socialistic inclined ,an ideology the Americans did not want it to spread to newly independent African and Asian states in the early 1960's during the cold war with Russia . America's greatest fear was and still is the spread of communisim In 1964 Jomo kenya anounced that kenya will not take a socialistic path but a pro-capitalistic direction which was polar to Jaramogi's socialistic ideals .Jaramogi who was then kenyan's vice president (1964-1966) stood his ground and this started the ideological war with President Jomo kenyatta who declaired that kenya will never become a socialistic nor communist state .The fall out between the two founding fathersJomo kenyata and jaramogi oginga odinga had began. To make sure this succeded the Americans used Tom Mboya ,who then unknown to the kenyan gorvernment was a CIA agent planted in the newly independent kenyan . Jomo kenyatta and Tom Mboya were both pro capitalists and Americans did not like jaramogo's socialistic ideology which was the ideology used by communist Russsia / Union of Soviet Socialists Republics (USSR ) which was then embroiled in a cold war with its enemy superpower America.That how jaramogi was branded a "communist" by the foxy Tom mboya the USA point man and CIA agent/plant (secretly) in the kenyan carbinet. Ideologies apart its worth to note that at a personal level both Jaramogi and Tom Mboya did not like each other though both were from the luo nation or tribe . Tom Mboya was actually a Basuba a bantu tribe that was asimilated into the river lake nailotic luo nation/tribe.

President Kenyatta loved Jaramogi so much that he made him(Jaramogi )his vice president (1964) so he could succecced him(kenyatta) as the second of president of kenya upon (kenyatta) death which occurred on 22 august 1978.If only Jaramogi would have been more patient.........

Read history if not read body languages. Even Tom Mboya who was patient was hit by an assassin. JM showed interest in the seat and he too ate was it 5 bullets?. At least he stayed alive until old age sent him to the other world. Kibaki saw the trend after Ouko ate the bullet and walked away. One day. One day will come....:-)
