I have always admired Ken, but this is horrible interviewing. He is interrogating Amenya as if he, the whistleblower, is the wrongdoer here. The problem is not that JKIA is in a mess and needs serious repair and upgrading. That's a fact. Ken don't be stupid. The Adani deal IS NOT a PIP (Privately Initiated Proposal). On June 2008, Kenya Vision 2030 was launched by Kibaki and under the vision JKIA aging infrastructure was to be upgraded to world class standard. So the upgrading of JKIA has been in the works as far back as 2008. So for a company from India to come in Kenya in the year 2024 and PRIVATELY PROPOSE to upgrade JKIA is a lie and unlawful. Because; 1. The plan to upgrade JKIA was INITIATED by the Kenyan government way back in 2008 and NOT by Adani. 2. This Adani deal was not transparent, unlawful and lacks accountability.

The big question no one in the media or senate hearings is asking is: Does Ruto have any self interest in the deal in anyway? The issue is Adani deal is filled with personal/self interests and not in the best interest of the country. No Kenyan is against a new airport or PPP what they are against is people using govt to benefit themselves. Follow the laid down regualtions on PPP of public participation, open tendering, public disclosure of what the deal entails. But now everything is in secrecy and thats what making Kenyans reject. Even the xpressway though very much needed the secrecy behind the deal where its now been revealed the former president benefits from tolling fees and with fees deposited into offshore accounts, instead of the money going directly to the govt for development, Adani deal seems to follow the same trajectory. The manner in which its reported Adani came to get the deal with officials close to the President making trips to Dubai and money exchanging hands, the Secrecy in the manner the details of the deal are being hidden; one can only conclude the ADANI JKIA deal is being hatched for personal self interest and not in the best interest of the country.
