It seems once the footage is released it rarely matches what the chiefs say to calm the communities and promote accountability and transparency. Shame on police. Self inflicted defunding.

Seems like you're making assumptions without even knowing what happened. Fact is that Payton was involved in a drug deal. He was with a parolee who was dealing Fent at 2 am. Payton has a prior felony and should never had a gun on his person by law. He chose to run from the drug dealer's car while holding a gun and was given commands to drop the weapon. He was a danger to the public and officers were forced to shoot.

Does that mean he deserved to be killed? The police did not know half of that until after the fact. He was running away from them and not pointing it at them as far as i have read

@@mickeyfinn4636 Running with a gun in hand means you are endangered the public. They are not going to wait until you end up taking a hostage or shooting someone. Completely justified.

Has the body Worn CAM footage been released? I could not find it when I searched You Tube. The only thing that came up was some cop assaulting a citizen in a parking garage in downtown Boise.

Do you have selective hearing? He specifically said that it takes a couple of months to release a video. They don't release it immediately during an investigation. This is standard procedure across the country. They will release the video in time.

You have to remember they have to edit the video and cut out the parts of them doing wrong so they could look bright and shiny this is why you have a run-in with a cop always have your own camera going because they will always edit it and whoever said this is not true is just a bootlicker!

@@JDeubel Put the pipe down. They're not going to cut anything out. I know you hate cops but give them time to view the footage, slow it down frame by frame, and release it showing all the details carefully so we can all see for ourselves.
